An Independent Girls Preparatory School
Founded in 1876, Hathaway Brown School continues to be a leader in girls' education from early childhood through high school. As stated in its motto, Non scholae sed vitae discimus, the Hathaway Brown student learns not for school but for life, in an environment that fosters a passion for learning beginning in the classroom and extending deep into Cleveland's laboratories, libraries, theaters, museums and beyond.
One of Hathaway Brown's more innovative programs is the Science Research Program (SRP).
