This restaurant was awful right from the start. The hostess scowled and virtually threw the menus at us. The waiter barely mumbled hello. Pros: view of the housatonic river Cons: everything else more

Great find! Started w/ crab bisque -MMmmm- crab w/ every bite. Husband (tough sell) said NE chowder was very good. Drunken Shrimp apps, HUGE, but dipping sauce so-so. Salads came w/meal, gorgonzola on each. My Fried Scrod was fresh,4 lrg pieces. Husband's Stuffed Sole, 4 pieces, very nice (mostly crab,not bread stuffing), great Newburg. Meals came w/ big scoop of mashed, were awesome. After, ordered dbl. choc. chscake, BIG ENOUGH for two, served as mini round cake, drizzled w/ choc. sauce. Coffee fresh, good. GREAT WAITRESS. Perfect timing. Large deck w/ views to marshes/LI Sound. Atmosphere casual, layed-back, popular place, tables well-spaced, LARGE dining area inside/out, pentiful parking w/ lighted dock for stroll. DIVERSE MENU-PRICED REASONABLY. Next time, will try something blackened (guy next to me had large piece, looked amazing). Total price for two: $63. my husband and i decided to try this resturant and boy , never did we have such a horrible dinner! food was absolutely TASTELESS! i had calamari over linguini with red sauce, it was bland,--- don't they have spices in the kitchen? i only had a couple bites, i just couldn't make myself eat it. my husband had grilled pork chops which was also devoid of flavor and was rubbery too. instead of being in a restaurant and enjoying the food, i felt like we were being tortured! i was so tempted to ask for my money back but i did not want to cause a scene. needless to say, we're not going back!
