This is a great place to eat lunch. You can get a steak and she can get some gross clams or something. Bread is excellent. Beautiful views. Ask for a table by a window. more

Worst restaurant ever! The seafood here did not taste fresh. I ordered the clam bake plate and it didn't taste good! The price was expensive and not worth coming in. Stay away from this place. more

Bad Choice 5/23/2010

We were in San Diego and decided to check out Sea Port Village. Harbor House looked like a good restaurant with nice views. There are only two good things I can say about my experience, the waitress that we had was extremely nice and very understanding when we asked to move from the freezing cold patio to another table inside. And the other was the great views the restaurant had. Otherwise the food was extremely overpriced and not very good at that. We left hungry and stopped by a Wendy's on the way back to the hotel. My recommendation is to skip this and try something else. Pros: Great View Cons: The Food, Overpriced more

Casual pricey dining with a great view 7/15/2008

I visited my boyfriend in San Diego, and we went for a walk in Seaside Village then decided to stop here for lunch. He had been here a couple years earlier and remembered the he had enjoyed it. It is pricey and upscale food, but nobody was dressed up. We didn't have reservations, so we just had to wait about 5 minutes, and ended up with a great table facing the ocean and boardwalk. The windows are floor-to-cieling, so it is great for people watching too. We ordered the Idaho Trout and Chicken Maui and both were absolutely delicious. The trout was melt-in-your-mouth, cooked to perfection. The chicken was amazing, with pineapples and grilled plantain. This isn't somewhere I'd go regularly, as it is somewhat pricey, but it was the perfect place for a more memorable lunch. Definitely ask for a table by the window when you make the reservation. Pros: Amazing view, great fish Cons: Somewhat pricey more

Horrible dining experience 6/1/2007

We are visiting from out of town and had the misfortune of selecting Harbor House for dinner on 6/1/07. The food was below average, service bad and all at a very high price. The sauces were very salty, drinks were not correct, service was extremely poor. This was a very expensive bad experience and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone!!! Pros: location Cons: bad food, poor service more

Best place for casual dining 4/3/2007

This restaurant is a must when we visit San Diego so I figured it's about time to post a review. If you like fresh seafood and tasty appetizers complimented by good drinks in a casual atmosphere then this is the place for you. We have a 4-yr old so the casual dining is especially appreciated. We like the outdoor seating and great views of San Diego marina. I'm from Seattle originally but now live in Arizona so a visit to San Diego MUST include good seafood - and I have high standards! We don't visit San Diego without stopping into this restaurant at least once on our visit. TRY IT OUT! Pros: Service, Views, Food Cons: Don't forget to validate your parking if parking at Seaport Village! more

The clam chowder is outstanding, but then again, everything here is outstanding. If you order one of the local varieties of fish, chances are good that you'll be eating one that was caught the same morning. This place deserves more recognition. Pros: Usually not crowded more
