We have been bring our pets to Halsey East Animal Clinic since 1979. The best services available. Highly caring & compassionate. We just took our dog in & found she has terminal cancer. We thought she would have only a couple of days. Dr Vockert gave her a treatment of some things to stimulate her apatite, re-hydrate her & generally make her feel better. We know this is just temporary but it has given us a week & she is better now than she had been in several weeks. We do know the time until we have to put her down is near & she will stop eating soon but a few days with a great dog is a good thing. Thank you Dr. Vockert!! more

I can't say enough wonderful things about Halsey East Animal Clinic and their staff. They have taken care of our dogs for over twelve years and we have never had any complaints. They are especially patient and caring when it comes to elderly dogs. They all go above and beyond!! more

Amazing place to bring your animals, of any age. My neighbors have brought their animals there for 30+ years, and last year.. We started taking my dog. We had taken him to 5 other vets to find out what was going on and why he was loosing his fur. Everyone we took him to, said it was fleas w/o even touching my dog. But Dr. Vockert actually touched my dog, ran tests, etc. We ended up with three kinds of medication to give my dog, could only afford two of the three... So Dr Vockert thankfully gave us donated medicine and charged us $1 for a month supply. Amazing! I've started taking my cat there too! She was just spayed, and not the easiest of cats to handle.. But even though she hissed at the staff when they walked by, they still treated her with the utmost respect. Pros: Great staff, sympathetic to animals needs Cons: Nothing. more

I have been bringing my pets to Dr. Vockert (the clinic owner) for years. He is the nicest, most caring, skilled and professional veterinarian I have ever been to...except for his father who my parents used to bring their pets to before Dr. Steve took over. Two generations of awesome vets! He and his staff have twice saved my pets, and brought them back from what looked like certain death. I would never dream of going to another vet hospital. This is a splendid clinic for animals. I have taken 5 different dogs to them over the past 30 years, and have always been completely satisfied with the veterinaries, their assisting staff and the totally clean facility itself. They are more than willing to work with the individual to provide any special attention or needs required for your animal. They are totally knowledgeable and compassionate and always ready to help. I would highly recommend people to go to this Veterinary Clinic! The staff is so friendly and the clinic is very clean. I took my cat in on a Friday afternoon and they kept her until test results were back the next day. I received a call early the next morning and my cat had passed away. Dr Vockert was SO kind and also sadden about the loss of my cat and kept apologizing and saying how sorry he was. He told me she had feline hiv and asked me a few questions and kept saying (in such a soothing voice) how sorry he was. I kept thinking about how nice he was all day! He was just so kind it made the passing of my cat so much easier and I was glad that she had stayed the night and had the care she needed. more

I had taken all my pets to Halsey east for years, and many pets had done well under the care of the old doctor Vocker. Then I brought in my nearly blind kitten, (new to the house) and the new owner Stephen Vocker convinced me to have a very expensive surgery done on the cat. Later one of the other vets let me know this surgery very little hope in helping my cat but the owner had read about this procedure and really wanted to try it. Since then he has suggested other very expensive and experimental surgerys. I am now after 20 years shopping for a new vet. His staff is wonderful, the prices are moderate, the groomer is the best, but DO NOT LET THE OWNER work on your animal. This was such an inviting environment for both myself and my pets. They treated my pets as if they were their own. Staff was super friendly and helpful, and the vets/vet techs were also supportive and great. I highly recommend Halsey East because of great service and genuine dedication to animals. I would trust no one else to care for my pets! more

We have had three dogs in our family over generations go to this clinic and see many different doctors. I have visited this office many times over the last 23 years. All of the doctors were friendly and caring. This year was the last dog's turn of the the three to pass away. He had to be put down under Halsey East's care, they were so compassionate. Giving us time to talk both with the vet who assured and listed the many reason it was time, giving last minutes and letting us exit out the side as to not go through waiting. They also mailed the final billing as to not tarnish the experience. If we ever get another dog we will continue to drive way out of our way to use this friendly clinic. PROS: wonderful caring staff, speedy appointments for medically needy pets CONS: none more

They have wonderful vets here. They watch pets if going out of take and take care of them. Treatment of furry family members here is really good. They appreciate you furry family members. more
