My parents used to love going to this place when they first got married, so I figured my boyfriend and I would try it out since we both love sushi. I was surprised by the mellow atmosphere of this ""sports bar."" We were seated promptly in the nearly empty restaurant, our drink orders were taken right away, although the waiter had to go check if they carried the type of beer I wanted, which they didn't. Our food order was taken, and they were more than happy to accomodate our request to substitute the spicy albacore roll for the california roll that came with the sushi combo entree we ordered. We also ordered seaweed salad and a side of inari. Miso soup and cucumber salad were brought right away, soon followed by thhe inari. The good service stopped there. It took more than 30 minutes for the sushi combo to arrive, even after we asked someone to check on it and were told that it was coming right up. And the waiter had forgotten to bring the seaweed salad. When we reminded him, he brought us what looked like a regular green salad with tomatoes and a little bit of seaweed on top. I told him that there had been a mistake, but was informed that that IS their seaweed salad. One good point is that it wasn't a problem to cancel it. I thought the quality of the sushi was just fine and a generous portion of fish atop the rice. But my boyfriend, who knows more about sushi than I do, thought the quality was all that great. We wrote a note on the receipt that we would not be repeat customers.
Pros: relatively quiet for a sports bar
Cons: slow service, less than superior sushi
