I loved the vet. He was helpful and got my dog on the right medication for seizures. When I left the office he told me I could stop by anytime for refills. When it came time to get a refill I could not get over there because I live about 35-40 minutes away. I realized I really should have asked for a script at the time. Big mistake on my part. I called and asked to have it called into to the pharmacy near my house. The extremely unhelpful receptionist said she would not be able to call it in unless I provided her the phone number because she could not look it up and was quite offended that I would even ask such a thing even though it is common practice to just give the name of the pharmacy at every vet I've been to (we've moved). I called back with the phone number of the pharmacy and asked if she could please also ask the vet to include refills since it is obviously not convenient for me to come down. She flat out said she would not ask. I asked if she could get it called in quickly since I hadn't realized we were out because my husband had been giving the dog her meds and had not informed me of this. She said he will get to it when he can I will leave him a note. So yes I was a little frustrated at this point and it was probably showing in my tone. I called the pharmacy that night and nothing had been called in. I wonder if she even talked to the vet. I called back the next day to ask if it could be called in and find out if there was a problem. She said she left the note and he'd get to it when he gets to it. Now I'm wondering where she left the note. I told her my dog had no meds and now was having seizures because of this. She did not care and told me that was my fault for not calling in soon enough. I told her she could use a little work on Customer Service skills and she told me I was hateful. This has ruined a complete knowledgeable and good vet for me. I would not go to this vet if you think you may need to deal with the office staff for anything outside an appointment because she was terrible to work with and extremely rude.
