Love my new look 10/30/2017

It's harder to find a great hair stylist than it is to find a good car mechanic. I used to drive back and forth to Austin for haircuts just because I couldn't find anyone in Houston as good as my former stylist. Well, thankfully that's changed. Sela did my hair last weekend and I've been getting compliments every day since. \r \r She works alone; when I called, her voicemail said to text her for an appointment. I did and we set up an appointment right away, no problem. When we met we discussed my current cut, what I was looking for, and what would look best on me. Then she went to work and the results were wonderful. I had been coloring my hair at home and she showed me that all i needed was some highlights to look more natural and prevent brittle ends and color fade. Sela is a lovely woman with lots of experience and I trust her opinion totally - so glad I found her. more

I was looking for a hairstylist in my area and searched online. Sela had 5 star reviews so I booked an appt. Sela took the time to hear what I wanted. It was quick snip snip and I was done. Love my hair. She's hired as my new hair stylist! more

I had my hair colored today and I love it. I have had chemo for breast cancer and my hair is not quite normal. Sela knew just how to help me feel normal again. I love the new color and I love how she made my hair look "" full of body"" again.\So happy.\r Danielle more

I have crazy full, curly hair and I hate getting it cut because it never turns out the way I had hoped. I found Sela here on Citysearch and was stunned by the number of positive reviews she had. I was skeptical at first but the great experiences go on and on, so I called to see if she was available. Sela saw me on her day off and changed my whole idea of what my hair should look like. She talked with me about what she saw for my hair and my face shape. As always, I was worried about leaving the salon with my hair half gone so Sela kept me informed every step of the way. Before she made a single cut, she told me what she planned to do and showed me how much she would cut before the scissors ever came near my hair. Sela put me at ease and helped my crazy curls frame my face. I have a whole new image for how great my hair can look and have only Sela to thank! She is amazing and knows exactly how to make you love your hair again!! Listen to the reviews and let Sela rescue your hair, you won't regret it!! more

Sela has perfected her art, my haircut is perfect! I just had my hair cut by another salon, it was uneven and looked awful. I was tempted to try and cut the uneven parts that I could see but knew that would be another mistake. I found Sela online called and told her what had happened and she graciously met me even though she had left for the day. She consulted with me first instead of just straightening out the ends, she gave me a style that looks great and is flattering to my face and it's even which is a huge deal to me. I would recommend Sela to anyone, I trust her with my hair and that's saying a lot. more

I looked up best hair salon on the internet and Sela popped up it said shes a 5* so I went to get a hair cut by her thinking she's a 5* she's not I had an awful experience she ruined my hair she cut it so short & uneven she was also rushing so unprofessionally of her and she charged me 50$ she didn't wash it she didn't do nothing just cut it short, uneven that was not worth 50$ so I went to ultra beauty and Amber the hair stylist there did and amazing job to fix the mess Sela made, Amber washed my hair did an amazing cut even styled my hair for only 45$ all of that was done for 45$ I recommend ultra beauty all the stylist there are amazing!!! I'm never going back to Sela hair salon... more

Sela does an amazing job on my hair and I can trust her to cut any style I'm looking for. She is knowledgeable with Men's haircuts and is able to give you the exactly look you are looking for. I highly recommend Sela over anyone around here for Men's haircuts, you will not be disappointed!! more

I went to Sela for a hair cut, layers, and gloss treatment and my hair has never looked better! It was a drastic improvement - the end result was hair that looked healthy, shiny, and full of body. She did exactly what I asked for and provided me with advice on how to maintain/style hair of my specific texture. I loved the atmosphere (very relaxing) and Sela was extremely sweet and knowledgeable. I've tried many hair salons in the past, but none even come close to the amazing results and customer service I've received here. I can't recommend Sela enough! more

My mom was in town from MN and she needed her hair cut really bad. After seeing Sela's reviews, we called to make an appointment and Sela actually was able to get her in the next day. At the time, we didn't realize, it was suppose to be her day off. Sela is energetic, friendly, and full of life. When my mom sat in the chair, Sela immediately knew how to cut her hair without my mom saying a word. I believe it is the best haircut my mom has ever had. She also showed her how to style her hair. So after a few weeks, I decided to give her a try since my hair is long and felt thin. She told me what she thought would be best for my hair and listened to my concerns. My hair is amazing! She customized it to fit my face shape and body type. She is unbelievable! I wish I would have found her sooner. more

Convenient, knowledgeable, professional hair styling! I am new to town and needed my hair done last minute to go to my sister’s wedding. I called on a Saturday, and Sela agreed to see me Sunday afternoon. What a lifesaver! I wasn’t going to do anything crazy to my hair, but Sela told me how to make my hairstyle fit my features better, and made me feel comfortable and confident with her abilities, so I went with it. I am so glad I did! Sela took into consideration my lifestyle (2 small children) and kept it long enough to pull up, but still look good. She put in a color that would allow me not to have excessive upkeep. She spent the time to show me how to style my hair a few ways and even gave me some suggestions on how to wear it to my sister’s wedding. Sela is great – I plan to return and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a hairstylist that goes above and beyond. more

I have been in search of a new hair stylist and have been thru a few in the last few months, and not happy with any of them. I had one cancel on me the other day at the last minute so I googled and found Sela. Boy am I glad I did. She took my uneven and yellow hair and turned it into lustrous shiny blonde hair and gave me one of the best hair cuts I have ever had. She has a new customer for life!! I teasingly called her the hair whisperer, but she really is. Make an apt with her, you'll be glad you did! more

I am extremely happy with my haircut from sela. She made me feel very comfortable despite having anxiety attacks over having my hair cut. She made suggestions for my hair type that i liked and paid attention to any concerns i had over styling requirements. My appointment was extremely fast and she was able to see me only a few hours after calling for a last minute appointment before holiday vacation. I look forward to going here in the future! more

Sela is so wonderful! She has a heart of gold, for starters. Not to mention that she creates wonderful hair styles!! On short notice, she came out to my wedding venue to do my hair, as well as my 8 bridesmaids. She gave each girl their own unique, classic and romantic hair style, some were updos, and each girl LOVED their hair! She took her time with each of us and made sure that we all absolutely loved it. I highly recommend her to everyone, and I am PICKY when it comes to hair! She goes the over and above to make sure you are happy. Look no further! more
