I absolutely love my hair and Kristen! The entire staff at Trendz is so nice and its such a fun, relaxed, comfy and inviting feeling as soon as you walk in the door! I decided to try Kristen after seeing some of these great reviews and I'm so glad I did. I went there looking for a change but nothing too drastic. I had a hard time putting into words and describing what it was I was looking for but Kristen got it just right. Shes awesome with color. I would recommend her to anyone and I can't wait to go back again :) more

The haircolor she uses at the salon can be bought at Sally's beauty supply for $7 yet I was charged $$$$ for my cut and color. Believe me I asked what the product was and then I was astounded to find that anyone can pick it up. The color result had a lot to be desired........ Pros: location Cons: everything more

I was floored as soon as i walked in the door. This salon is so unique, friendly, down to earth, and yet, classy. Kristen is an expert hair colorist and errs on the side of caution. She will do whatever you want, but if its a little off the wall, she will caution you about it (I wanted some crazy color, and she warned me about how it would grow out...we compromised so that both of us were comfortable before we began). She also very recently hired some additional stylists and they are also very competent as well. They all seem to work well together, like a true team effort. She offers natural nail services, so there are no toxic fumes like in some salons!! They also offer lots of other services, but i have not tried anything but an eyebrow wax, which was great. I will definitely keep going back to this salon in Trexlertown. Pros: Great atmosphere, very friendly and detail-oriented staff! Cons: Waited 15 minutes for appt time. more

I had to find a new stylist and found Kristen to have mostly favorable on-line reviews. This eased my concerns about going to someone new. The result though, was the worst styling experience I’ve ever had. 1. Kristen did not give me the hairstyle I requested. I even brought a picture of what I wanted and she gave me a completely different cut. 2. I asked that the hair length come down to my shoulders. She cut it chin length. It is so short that it will take six plus months before I can have it styled closer to what I had asked for – and it will still be shorter then I wanted. 3. She started out by making insulting remarks about my previous stylist --- who I have always been very happy with. She then spent the rest of the time playing up her business and her expansion plans. I found it very off-putting. I get annoyed every time I look in the mirror – and I’ll have to live with it for the better part of a year. Well, this has been the most "special" experience of my entire life. I started to see Kristen a little over a year ago, she seemed sooo concerned and caring, and it got stale very quickly. I was charged thousands of $$$ for her "expertise", only to find she did not know what she was doing. Who would put a Japanese haircolor on your head for an hour, (without reading directions), put you under a dryer for an hour and continue to get more drunk??? She won't answer any of my calls, my emails, etc, as she says she did nothing wrong! Do you want this happening to you???????????? Kristen has been doing my hair for about two years. I drive to the Lehigh Valley from Philadelphia because she really is one of the best colorists I have encountered (and I have visited some very pricey salons while living in cities in the US and abroad). She achieves a very natural effect, and most importantly, she really cares about and maintains the health of my hair. My hair is quite long and has been color treated forever. She does several things previous hairdressers did not to ensure that my hair stays healthy. I think the thing that makes Kristen stand out is not the way I look when I leave the salon, but how I look after a few weeks. (Let?s face it: most stylists can make you look good when you leave.) What makes her exceptional is that my color and cut always grow out in a very subtle way, so 6 ? 8 weeks after a visit, my hair still looks great. Also, because it?s so healthy, I don?t have to do much to style it. Despite being long, it?s very ?wash and go?. That is in part due to the cut, and in part due to Kristen?s commitment to keeping clients? hair healthy. I highly recommend Kristen, particularly if you color your hair, but still want it to look, feel, and be healthy. Pros: My hair always looks great. Kristen is by far the most talented stylist in the area!! EVERYONE looks good when they leave her salon. She brings her craft to the level of art, and her cuts are universally flattering - they work with the clients hair texture, face shape and lifestyle. Kristen uses gentle, non damaging color, and the results are beautiful and natural. My husband always says my hair looks healthier and more beautiful than a celebrity. I am addicted!! My first experience with Kristen Nicol was last Thursday, 6/19 and it will certainly not be my last! What a pleasant surprise to find a hairstylist in the Lehigh Valley that will actually listen to your concerns. I was in desperate need of color and style update and she delivered big time! I felt comfortable with her as soon as I walked into the shop. I'm not one to spend alot of time fussing with my hair. The cut she gave me is so easy to style. I was treated to an experience with/by Kristen Nichol for the first time, last year for my birthday. It was the most relaxing day of my life. Facial, mani, pedi, and a great haircut.....it was perfect. Kristen did such an amazing job with me and when I left I felt like a new person. Now, my mother, (who treated me to my first experience) sees Kristen reguarly as well. We always leave completely satisfied. Kristen Nicol has been doing my hair and eyebrows for years now. She is the best hair dresser I've ever had. She listens to what you want, what you need, and does her best to make you as beautiful as possible. I've never left her salon feeling disappointed or unhappy. Ms. Nicol is also the only one who will use cold wax for eyebrows and with people who have sensitive skin like I do it is a huge relief to be able to look my best without red, irritated skin. If you want damaged hair or hair that snaps, go to a cheap salon. If you want to look gorgeous and be treated like a queen/king, then go to Kristen Nicol. When I went in she was very up front about my old hair cut. She said it is soo 80s like[ which she is right. probaley older.] My hair is getting very thin from med.. She did the best she could and told me what she is gona do as it comes in some moore. She gave alot of advice about how to do stuff at home, to help. I was very thankful for the advice. I will def. stay with her for my cuts. I will try to save up for her to do my color. I know she will def. pick the right color for me and my condition She is def. in the 2000.. more

Kristen is a great person. Lots of fun. She gives fine hair cuts (I am mostly bald so not much to rate there) and also great massages. I definitely recommend her! more

I am absolutely THRILLED with my hair. As a natural redhead (sadly going grey), I always knew it would be difficult for someone to color my hair. I was right until I met KRISTEN!
