Unfortunately I spent way too many years and way too much money on this fraud of a doctor. He is just a drug dealer in a white coat and will not spend an oz of time with you even though that is what his lame website claims he does. I just received a call from a collection agency because of this bozo stating I owe over $2500 (for 4 visits of 5 min each) even though I had insurance, an HSA and my company assisted with copays, when I first started seeing him the office claimed they did not take ins, for the issue I was needing and when sitting in the waiting room one day struck up a convo with a different patient only to find out he actually did. At that time I was paying $125 for a 5 min session when I ended up telling him I had insurance he gladly accepted it and charged them over $450 for the 5min. This doctor prescribed me a med that I should have tapered off of very quickly but now have been on for years and am deathly afraid to come off of once this last RX runs out. He doesnt care about you, your family or your issues only the $. I started seeing him in 2007, when I lost my job 03-13 he immediately berated me, told me I owed him $400 and that he wouldnt prescribe me anymore medication, after panicking he wrote out the RX but told me I had to pay my balance of now it came to $1500 before he would see me again. Where and how the several hundred dollars got added to my bill I dont know but I am not surprised. I am looking into an attorney or reporting him for malpractice as I truly believe he harmed me more than helped me. From the creepy questions regarding whether I have orgasms to my sex life, to his own frustration of not being able to quit smoking and taking his frustration out on my smoking (this is not what I was there for) DO YOUR RESEARCH before ever going to this Dr.Jekyll and read the many honest reviews of what a fraud he truly truly is. more

BE VERY CAREFUL! VISITING THIS GUY CAN RUIN YOUR ENTIRE FUTURE. I visited this guy to attain time off work for stress b/c I'd experienced a stalking sutation. I spent literally 15 minutes with this doctor (b/c I caught him on a same day cxl) and while making my request he tried to curve my words, translate what I said into other things, cursed and tried to used the homeboy appeal as though I didn't need a professional b/c I was black and even told me to get out of his office when I told him I would not acknowledge or approve of things he was saying i.e. ""you're making it up, right"". After the 15 minute meeting I moved 2 states over to try and start a new life. After applying to over 100 new jobs I began inquiring why I wasn't being hired. Mysteriously companies were being told I may have a psych problem. WOW!! As though that isn't enough I was being watched by various mental groups, ""for my health"" --they say. I WAS ASTOUNDED that all of this could stem from a request for time off work for stress with no indications/wording of ANYTHING ELSE. (I found later that my stalkers are in a group full of professionals ranging from tech guys to doctors might I add- huh..).. For heaven sake our meeting was 15 minutes and he refused to accept the ""police report"" that documented the stalking with evidence stating the police office validated my story. Although I cannot legally state that he was the culprit behind the job situation as I truly do not know. What I do know is that no one else knew about the visit other than my co-worker who recommended I ask for time off and who was his patient but never knew I actually visited him. BE VERY CAREFUL AS YOU MAY BE WORKING IN A THRIVING TECHNOLOGY FIELD ONE DAY AND FORCED TO WORK IN WALMART THE NEXT as well be forced to prove to doctors, PD's, hospitals that a doctor made an unethical choice b/c he didn't win a word game. Since this time a complaint has been filed with the Department of Human and Health Services HIPPA (Privacy) department. I'm currently awaiting assistance. more

Dr. Haas is simply the worst doctor that I have ever been to. He sees his patients every 2 weeks and charges outrageous prices. I been in his office and he speaks to me for maybe 5 minutes. Everytime I enter his office, he has his computer on looking at the stock market. Dr. Haas only cares about money and nothing else. I would not recommend this doctor to anybody seeking help. more

Piece of work 1/6/2012

I called him on a Friday to make an appointment for the following week. Since Monday was the day after New Year's day he told me to call his receptionist on Tuesday and he would work my son in that Wednesday or Friday. My son was leaving for school that weekend. When I called that Tuesday his receptionist said the schedule was full and she had not spoken with Dr, Haas. She said she would call me back once they had spoke. She never did callback. I called her twice. Dr. Haas also said he would help my son find a practitioner in Arkansas. His receptionist said she didn't know about that either but would speak to him and call me back... I am still waiting. Do yourself a favor. If someone advises you to make an appointment with these people, don't waste your time. more

Dr Haas unfortunately was the worst doctor in his field that I have experienced. He was patronizing and arrogant and I actually felt that come across in my sessions with him. Also does not consult the patient about the side effects of his pills.I don't think he even knows or cares what some of the side effects are. His staff are friendly though more

We took back the power in our home. 11/5/2009

Our children ran our household. Somehow we had lost the power trying to accomodate them. Dr. Haas quickly asessed the situation and gave us sound and explicit instructions on how to regain our power. We are the parents and our job is to teach our kids how to excel in life and become responsible people. Implementing the new strategy wasn't easy and the children definitly bucked the new system but we stayed firm, and I am so grateful to Dr. Haas for all his suggestions. They worked!! My 8 and 10 yr. old have fallen in line and I believe are happier for it. They no longer fight me to do homework, or help around the house. They understand that we are a team and together we can do anything. It's a give and take relationship, no more just give, give, give. This doctor worked for us and I am sure if you listen and implement his strategies he can help you too. Pros: Attentive, Understanding, Direct, Effective Cons: Waiting period, runs a little late, but worth it. more

Don't waste your time! 10/6/2009

My 11 yr. old daughter has ""SCHOOL PHOBIA"", not to be confused with Truancy. Dr. Haas assured me he had experience w/ this Phobia. Everything I read said keep everything else as normal as possible (she is very active in dance, tumbling, sleepovers etc. or the Phobia could cross over into other areas. He gave me a game plan within 20 mins. of talking w/ my daughter(did not speak to me first). He said if she doesn't go to school she doesn't get to dance, take away her cell phone,T.V. anything she likes to do he said.He also said if she misses the bus her choices are to walk or ride her bike. Her school is 1.8 miles away and she would have to cross 2 very busy streets, talk about increasing her anxiety.I tried to tell him we tried that when she first stopped going to school and she slept and cried all day in her room. He said we'll that was 5th gr. this is 6th gr. we'll try it again. He gave her a RX for XANAX (11 yrs. old)and told her to take half when the bus was coming and the other half carry to school with her and take if she feels anxiety coming on.I called the next day and told his staff that he did not deliver the service that was promised and that I wasn't going to follow any of his advice. I asked her if he could reduce the $350.00 fee. She said she would talk to him. The next response was the fee is $350.00, he will not lower the amt. He is very arrogant and full of himself. I think he thinks all cases can be handled the same way, he didn't care to hear our story. What a waste of time.. Cons: Too big of a hurry, doesn't listen, doesn't care! more

Dr. Joseph E. Haas, BEWARE 7/20/2007

My son had an appt with Dr. Haas on the 28th of June. We were called a few days before hand and told he had to change the time because he had something come up. Our appt was set for 2 pm we arrived at 1:50 and waited until 2:30 when I let his asst. know that we were leaving because I had something else to do. I got my insurance and he charged me/them $325. His explanation is that we were paying for his time. Is that not ridiculous? As if I had nothing better to do than sit there and wait and not be acknowledged by him. He's arrogant and short. I woudn't recommend him at all. The young lady who answers the phone is nice enough and she unfortunately has to take the brunt of the abuse from people who call about him. It is beyond ridiculous to expect a client to wait 30 minutes or more for an appt. BEWARE DO NOT GIVE HIM YOUR BUSINESS. I only gave a star because I had to choose at least one had it been up to me it would have been a negative amount of stars. Cons: Arrogant, doesn't keep scheduled appts., rude, poor parking and charged for services not rendered. Shall I continue?? more

Horrible, Horrible 6/8/2007

Horrible Horrible Horrible, waited 30+ minutes in the waiting-room. The staff is friendly but not corresponding with the Doctor. Appointments got ""misplaced"" all the time. I was disgusted with how his treated me as a patient. Listened? Nope. Helpful Advice? Never. I never left there feeling better, I always walked out of the office angry and feeling worse. Has no clue about medication, rude and doesn't truely care about his patients. Would never recommend. Pros: N/A Cons: Too many to list more
