Nice Facility; Poor Customer Service 8/13/2013

My daughter was signed up for the Saturday classes. She loved going. However, the gym does not automatically roll your registration into the next session. You have to get on line and re-register every session. The sign up days are not the same every month either. I have three kids and both my husband and I work full time. Sometimes I do not have the availability to get on a computer on a certain day. Well, one day while at the front desk I happened to ask when the next session was. The clerk said registration for current students had ended the previous day. I got on the computer right at that moment while at the front desk to re-register. Since I was a day late re-registering all the Saturday slots were gone and she lost her slot. A few months later another session came along and I tried to register her when it opened. I got a rather curt email from the gym reminding me that only current students could register the week I tried. The next week was for inactive students and more

A+++ Best gym in the area by far, and I've tried them all! 12/30/2008

This gym is so customer service oriented and treat kids kindly and fair while still keeping self discipline in mind. Chris and Laura (owners) truly care about the future of every kid that walks in the gym. They are the most kind and caring business owners I've ever met. They will help you one on one and they are truly angels in our community! I know team members that drive from Pensacola, Niceville, Ft. Walton, etc just to be at this gym. \r \r The gymnastics facility is outstanding and state of the art with a full size cheer floor, pit for vault, floor, beam and bars. Nice equipment, everything must be new by the looks of it. I highly recommend this gym and we are so happy they are in our community! more

Excellent Gym 5/13/2008

Gulf Coast Gymnastics is the best gym I have been to, and I have been to a lot. The facility is very nice. The staff is well trained and excellent with kids and adults. Both team programs and recreational programs are of high quality. The "extras", like open gym, parents night out, and camps are so much fun. They are very flexible if you have to miss a class for any reason. I can't think of one reason not to recommend this gym. more

Awesome Gym! 4/22/2008

Awesome gym!!! They have cool stuff like a pit, a tumble track, a huge spring floor, and preschool equipment. They have gymnastics, dance, cheer, tumbling, and fitness. They have a website: www.gulfcoastgym.com Check out their website...there is a lot of great info on it! more

A breath of fresh air!!!! 9/8/2007

Before attending GCG, my 7 yr old son attended another gym in a neighboring city. I noticed that the gym we were going to had no boys competitive team and only seemed to truly focus on the girls. I stumbled across Gulf Coast Gymnastics one day driving down the highway and stopped by to check it out. I was impressed, even though they are going through renovations, it is a really nice space. Huge parent/sibling waiting room with a great view of the gymnast. I could tell from my son's very first class here that the coaches are extremely professional, they truly know what they are doing....they actually teach the kids..not just let them swing around on the equipment and call it a class. My son looks forward to his class and his goal is to make it to team one day. They offer drop in instruction on Friday's for extra class time or makeup classes. I met the owner and she is very warm and her son who is a gymnast here is a very sweet and respectful little boy. Overall a real gym, somewhere to more

Great Place! A pleased parent 8/29/2006

I was a pee wee squad cheer coach for 5 years and loved it, but decided that I had to give it up when my babies came along. Because of this, I am very particular about where my child is and who she being influenced by. I searched for a gym and tried another before this one and was not happy. After the first month, I knew it was a great one. The owners are great Christian family oriented people, and the coaches are all professional and loving towards the students. The have a great room for parents and siblings to wait for the students and still be able to watch thier child. This gym also takes great strides in the safety and protection of the students in every way while they are there. \r My daughter is now doing a different level of cheerleading than before and has advanced in her abilities with the help of her new coaches. I would recommend this gym to any of my friends or family looking for a gym for their child. PROS: Parent, sibling room, new, nice updated equipment CONS: more

I Love working here! 8/28/2006

We strive to provide a fun and safe atmosphere for your children to grow not only physically but emotionally as well. We hope that along with their athletic skills learned, they can also take home life skills of positive attitudes, team work, and healthy habits that will last throughout their lives. The majority of my background is in gymnastics. I was a competitve gymnast for 13 years, three of which I trained and competed in the Far East. I attended Junior Olympics for two years before entering college. Cheerleading was an amazing, fun outlet for me during junior high, high school, and in college. I have had many years experience coaching gymnastics and have coached both recreation and all-star cheerleading here in Florida for the past five years. I am also a certified fitness instructor. Currently, I am the head coach for the Gulf Coast Twisters All-Stars and credentialed through USASF. I believe we have a Great program here at Gulf Coast Gymnastics with a wonderful amount of knowle more

Nice gym 11/8/2005

They are a new gym and have a particular teaching plan for each class, so all teacher although different personlaties still teach the same thing in a particular class ( ie beginner tumbling). They are very inflexible about make-up classes unless the child is sick or injured, even if they have space and you plan ahead. The teachers are great, firm with the kids on "teams" and very patience with the kids just into going once a week. I just would not recommend it for the family that travels a lot as you will pay for time you can't use. PROS: Great teachers, clean space, good standards CONS: inflexible with travel plans, small parent waiting area gets very crowded. more
