From start to finish, my overall experience with Great American Van Lines has been great. Naturally I was worried as to the various things that could go wrong with shipping such a long distance. I would use Great American again The way the men from Great American Van Lines packed all my belongings, after the move was finished, I didn’t have to spend much time behind searching my things from the packed boxes. I just completed my move from NYC to IL. I am happy to report that it was incredibly successful thanks to Great American! Our agent was in contact with us during the entire process. He was easily reachable and always helpful. The movers that packed us up were great as were the guys who helped us on the other leg of the trip! We had multiple stops both in NY and IL and they were great!!! Our stuff arrived safe and sound. EXCELLENT moving company! I want to comment on what an outstanding job the two men did that moved us from Great American Van Lines. We have had many movers over the years. Much of those experiences were not positive. I have had furniture damaged, lazy workers, etc. Our experience has been so bad that my daughter did not want to hire movers but preferred to do it ourselves. However, I just wasnt up to the lifting, hauling, etc. The two men that did our move were outstanding. They were very efficient, fast, conscientious, polite and helpful. Never have I received such service with a moving company. There wasn't one minute wasted by these two individuals. In addition, they put the furniture where they were directed and did everything possible to accommodate us. If Great American Van Lines needs a reference, I would be happy to accommodate. I will recommend your company to co-workers, friends, businesses, etc. more

I selected Great American Van Lines because of their competitive price and also from the minute I talked to the salesman Nathan he walked me through every aspect of the move and how everything will work. On the day of my move they sent me a very professional crew that very carefully packed my furniture. They were very efficient and quick and made this move very smooth. Fabulous move with great american van lines. They did it again. They moved me from Short Hills,NJ to Cary, NC. They moved my 4 bedroom house to NC and I recently had to move back to NJ for my company ,and called them up to move me back. These guys did another great job and stuck to the estimated price. I recently hired these guys to move my family's apartment, and I couldn't be happier with the service, they really did a great job. I was planning on moving everything myself with some help from a buddy, but after I busted my knee playing foorball, I had to look for some movers. Boy am I glad I did! I didin't realize how much there was to take out until I saw them carrying it! They were friendly, and quick, not really taking too many breaks, just doing whatever had to be done. They came in and straight away knew how to take everything apart, and thankfully, they were really careful. My favorite part was that when they were done, I gave them a little tip and they were more than happy, because I've had a lot of movers practically demand a tip which is ridiculious, I mean they're supposed to pay their workers, not me. Anyway, like I said, these guys were awesome, defintiely using them again if I need to, and highly recommend them to friends. more

I've used great american van lines twice in the past five years. First move was exceptional. The guys worked very hard, no complaints, attention to detail and always pleasant. So I had no problems deciding to use great american van lines again the second time around for my local NJ move based on my past experience. The second move was a lot more complicated moving items from two locations, storing them and moving them to MD . Needless to say, I was a bit worried about all the moving and potential mishaps like breakage, condition of storage, etc. The moving experience was once again perfect. The movers were always on time and ready to start. I'm always amazed by how hard the movers work. We often take their work for granted. It's back-breaking work! I really appreciate the fact that the movers at GREAT AMERICAN VAN LINES are such diligent and efficient workers and make our lives easier in times when things like moving can be very stressful i will recommend them to all my family and my friend more
