Top Chef Miami is the new chef at grass 1/21/2010

Have to say hats off to grass the new menu is amazing the menu explain the atmosphere top chef Micah Edelstien did it with her new menu at grass restaurant and lounge its sexy, fun , colorful and very tasteful. They are truly focusing on the cuisine and giving customer a nice time and a yummy meal. \r Grass being the pioneer in resturants and lounge of the Miami design district lead the way to many more restaurant to come, like all good location its had it's up and down but it's safe to say it has change and its worth your time. \r Cuisine is considered eclectic world fusion & organic from tapas style portion to amazing scallop dish, from elk meat balls, to bison steak and many dishes for the vegetarian in you, the variety of flavour are clean and you can't find that in must restaurant in Miami.\r the location is local treat and wonderful find if you are visiting from out of town it is a Miami jewel. If you want to come for a romantic dinner or night out with your friends for some tasty treat and listen to some nice tunes, or book a luncheon , wedding etc ...think of grass.I am true supporter of local venue that are taking the time to care what customer want....grass keep on growing congrats Pros: Best new menu innovative menu in miami, tuscan sushi Cons: there might be wait ,order a botle a wine you will be fine more

Food was fantastic!!! 1/18/2010

My husband and I went to Grass this past weekend after I looking at the restaurants website. I liked the pictures and menu listed, so we decided to try it. Located in the Design District, so there weren't many people in the area. We were seated immediately...and the waiter came within minutes.\r \r The food was spectacular!!! We love to eat out, and prefer smaller portions that taste great rather than huge portions that are mediocre. \r \r Must tries: Specialty drink # 003, Sexy Nibblers...the prosciutto wrapped cheese, the little meat in potato cups, and the ""cowboy"" steak entree....DELICIOUS!!!\r \r The price is a bit high, but well worth it. We will definitely return. Pros: Delicious food, nice setting, attentive staff Cons: Rain would affect open air seating more

Our party of three went early (19:30) on a Wednesday. We were all very pleased with the service and the cuisine. Excellent Mohito. For starters, we shared the caramelized shallots, veggie samoosa, the curried brie, and the ostrich carpaccio - all were wonderful. For main courses, we had the Kira scallops, the loin lamb chops, and the bison. Again, all were exquisite! We shared a superb baked malva pudding for dessert, followed by a perfect esspresso (really more like a ristretto!) total bill with gratuity about $250, which included an imported beer and five glasses of wine. Highly recommend this establishment. If you want a quiet meal, excellently prepared and well served, you might want to arrive at a less busy time (as we did). more

doesn't matter how exotic the title of your entree's are if they don't taste good. Of our group of 6 people only two were happy with their meal.\r \r My beverage didn't come until the check came. they sat us at a table with one less chair. I stood for ten minutes and finally took a chair from a group that had an extra one.\r \r I'll go back for drinks at the bar but not for food. more

Overly Priced Bad Service 12/10/2009

I'm not one to complain about food, but this was a whole other experience. Food was ridiculously priced and portion was smaller than kid-sized entree. $22.00 for a bowl of Mac and Cheese. Not even tasty! I would save myself the agony and money and go elsewhere.. Rude staff and inattentive. Cons: food quality, staff, and prices more

-first time at the place.\r -meter parking\r -the door people were not to welcoming. we stood in front of them for about a minute. not too long, but there was nobody else at the door. i guess it was a prestige thing.\r -most of the floor space is taken for the tables. it felt like in some large Italian dining room. all these groups of people were at their own tables and you might feel as you are the only tree in the desert.\r -the back bar is only saver. \r -there are few bartenders but only one actually moves. he got the tips!!\r -the girl bartender is quite slow and not really responsive. she got less tips!!\r -after everyone had finished up their meals, we noticed as the people begun to move closer to the dance floor.\r -they have good down tempo housy music.\r -ohh, the place is unique and is outside. so you get to dance under the moon.\r -if i go there again, it will be after 12am. \r \r Pros: Location, parking, settings Cons: slow bartender, slow door man more

Visited the Grass for the first time last week. After living downtown for almost two years I had never heard of it. I decided to take my partner there for a special dinner and I was surprised by what I found inside. The food was fabulous, I had the Grouper plate and he had the plate with the scallops and the butternut bisque. Both were fabulous. The ceviche to start was also quite amazing, you could tell that the seafood was completely fresh. The pictures from the website are pretty much what to expect in terms of ambiance. Music, lighting, design was all spot on. The only complaint was that seating for two can be akward if placed next two strangers on their long booth. Overall great experience. more

Best Restaurant in Miami 2/20/2008

I dined at Grass Restaurant with my girlfriends a few months ago and it was AMAZING!!! Everything from the drinks to the desserts was top notch. The service was fantastic as well, and the male staff were H.O.T. hot, hot, hot!!! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. It's the perfect place for a date, or for a fun night out with friends. You won't be disappointed! Pros: everything Cons: nothing more

Unique. 1/18/2008

After being away from Miami for several years it is nice to find that there are still special places to dine like The Grass. more
