Granite Mountain Stone Design

They were hired to do my master bath. They created templates, but apparently did not follow them. The bath did not cover the tub and the holes for the faucets were not aligned with the hole for the sink. They put a seam in the backsplash that could be seen from across the room. When they went to re-do the granite was from multiple bundles and I had part pink tone and part brown tone and they tried to justify leaving it. They finally said they would not charge me more than my deposit if I would just take it. ie they screwed up the granite cut and did not want to pay more for additional granite. DON'T SIGN OFF IF THEY Do NOT MEET THE CONTRACT!. I did not sign off. After six months they could not fix and I had them remove everything and return my deposit. more

We had a contract to do a kitchen and 2 bathrooms. They completed the kitchen and one bath pretty well. The other bathroom was a nightmare. We made endless calls and emails, many of which were not returned for days or weeks. After dragging it out for months (literally), they finally said they could not do the project as contracted. We had already had custom cabinets built and the bathroom designed around the granite, so we were stuck. They tried to turn the situation around on us and were very unprofessional and even mean-spirited while we tried to negotiate a solution. In the end, we found someone else to do the job. more

The granite cut was not done according to the template and not only that the installers went on installing it knowing well that the cut is wrong. When I stopped them and asked them for their opinion they agreed with me. Instaed of fixing the counter on the second trip they tried to tear off the wall so that they can insert part of the counter in the wall so it looks straight outside. I stopped them for doing that and they took the counter back and broought the same counter back the third time after grinding it in the back. I called the supervisor and he said ""If you don't like it I will ask my guys to take the counter back"", when I agreed to his offer he said you won't get the advance back even though they had agreed to return all the countertops. Finally I agrred to an install not to my liking because by this time we were without a kitchen for three weeks. Stay away from Granite Mountain Stone Design or their parent company Cold Spring Granite Company.
