Stole my deposit, refused to make repairs 9/17/2009

Throughout the year I lived there, there were several maintenance issues that went unfixed. I complained endlessly in writing and in person about the broken refrigerator that would leak all over the carpet and then overheated and ruined hundreds of dollars in groceries. Rather than replace, they kept sending someone out to change the thermostat dial! The smoke detectors would go off in the middle of the night extremely loudly and they refused to fix them. Being a 9 foot ceiling, I could not reach them to turn them off. When I gave in writing and in person my notice to vacate when my lease was up, I requested something in writing that stated why I would not receive my deposit so I could give it to an attorney. They claimed there were no problems and I would receive my $500 check in the mail in 30 days. Instead, I received a BILL for $100! They are thieves!! Cons: Management are THIEVES!! DO NOT RENT HERE!!! more

STAY AWAY!!! read first before you decide. 7/26/2009

Since I moved to Grand River Canyon Luxury Apartments three months ago it has been a disappointment. When I first moved in, one of the rep told me they had a gas dryer hook-up, but found out it was an electric hook-up when I tried hooking it up. I tried to ask for their help taking my dryer out of the apartment since I live on the second floor. They told me they can let me borrow a dolly but will not help me move it out. I called the corporate office but they didn't do anything about it either... Now, my toilet is broken and cannot be used until it is fixed. It has been more than 24hrs now and five phone calls later, still nothing!!! And they call it emergency service! What a joke...... Pros: near walmart... Cons: everything else.. more

do not ever move here 7/24/2009

My wife and I lived there for 3 years plus.......The first year we were never told about the FOF dorms that were directly above us. These people are not the quiet folks, they party, and have xrated parties. Pros: none Cons: no police, loud parties, crime more
