Great Place!! 7/27/2011

When I go out to eat, I expect to pay a lot for my meal. I also expect to get a lot of food for that money. I'm a bit of a foodie and only want the best. Well, this place did deliver a great meal that I really enjoyed, only the portion was so small that I left feeling hungry still. The price wasn't worth the meal. However, the ambiance is very nice. more

Don't go with a group IF you go AT ALL 7/1/2008

We went with a grouop for a birthday and made a reservation. First of all, the table they seated us at was way too small. Then when two extra guests happened to show up they said there was nothing they could do to accommodate us. We had to split up into two different groups. Then, the large party next to us left--we had been promised that table--and they gave it away to someone else. THEN, when that party asked for more chairs and an extra table for their additional guests they were able to seat them but not us. We were there first and we had ordered a lot of food. So RUDE!\r \r WILL NEVER GO BACK! Plus the restaurant was too cold and we had upset stomachs the rest of the night. Don't get the burger. Cons: cold, loud, rude service more

Good for what it is 10/25/2007

GB is always a good stand by when we cant think of a place to eat. They have a good selection on the menu and great choices for the bar too. My girlfriends and I went the other night to catch up....it did take a few minutes for us to get service, but once we did it was good. I don't think there is anything on the menu I have had that wasn't good. We shared a couple of salads, the humus salad is always good, and we also got a chicken dish again, good....I don't think you can really go wrong, but it is what it is. more

The GB is a cookie-cutter establishment which mirrors so many others of its ilk. Don't get me wrong, GB serves good food and good drinks. The people are nice. The prices are higher than I like for what I get but well within expected ranges. I just don't think GB stands out in any significant way. What I want to note is service on the patio. Sit inside and the servers get right to you. Sit outside and you'll likely need to track someone down all night. I was there for four hours and was only approached once. Pros: Excellent Beers, Good Food, good location Cons: slow service, Weak mixed drinks, a little over-priced more

PERFECT! 5/26/2004

Gordon Biersch is a great place to go for great food, beer and service. They have it all. The Sous Chef, Alejandro Acosta makes the most delicious bannana oreo cheescake and the ganache chocolate cake is a peice of heavan! never again 4/27/2004

How in the world can you go to a restaurant right when it opens and be told they are out of pizza? The pizza is what I go there for. Or used to. Then, after messing up numerous orders (we were a group of 12), we waited forever for dessert. I joked, ""I wouldn't be surprised if they were out of dessert."" We all laughed and waited some more. Needless to say, they were out of some of the dessert. This was supposed to be a special occasion but ruined thanks to them. more

My Thoughts 4/16/2003

I think that GB is a terrific place!! I have enjoyed going there frequently and I think that everything is great about it, especially the live music on the patio! Pros: Lively atmosphere, Excellent Menu, Good Service Cons: Large parking lot more

Great hang with great food & beer! 1/9/2003

I have never had a bad experience with this place. As a mater of fact, it's a ""must"" take place when family & friends come to town. Great place to plan meetings! The food is fantistic & the service is great. If something is ever wrong, they are sure to take care of the issue right away. Pros: Friendly, Fast, Great Value Cons: Can have long wait more

This is one of the best restaurants in the East San Fernando Valley. Been there at least 8 times and have yet to find something to complain about. Good menu assortment and full drinks. more

first of all, one word defines this restaurant, ""corporate"". great menu considering, friendly staff and great bar selection however still tastes a little sterile. has potential but the management needs to think a little more outside the box. more

They have good creme Brulee, but the food is not all that. I was a little disappointed with the food, and was expecting a little bit more cause my friend recommended the place, and they Said ""YOU have to try that place""??? Pros: Nice and Spacious Cons: Food not great more

Good food but Pasadena is better... 6/28/2002

The food is about the same here but the ambience is not as nice as Pasadena. I've been here twice but don't think I'd be back. Service was slow and since they don't have that nice outdoor patio I feel that I'm sitting in a dark bar while waiting for my food. more
