Good Country Food 9/28/2005

This is located directly off of State Highway 249 in the heart of Tomball. They have an awsum chicken fried steak. However, my personal favorite is the hamburger. They will cook it to order and serve it with the lettuce and tomatoe on the side. The bread that is served with the food is prepared on site and is served with a house cream gravy. I also love their Blue Bell vanilla ice cream shakes. Their prices are down to earth and their atmosphere is quite country. more

Great Food, Exceptional Chicken Fried Steak 9/23/2005

The food is great here; especially if you order the chicken fried steak--now that is excellent. Before your meal, you will most likely get a huge dinner roll with a side of white gravy for dipping---yummy! Anyway, the menu isn't huge, and never seems to change, but it is a good place for a nice, southern, laid back meal. Would recommend. more

Best Chicken Fried Steak in town! 8/17/2005

Goodsons is a family owned cafe that has been around for a LONG time! They have the best chicken fried steak and gravy. But they also have terrific salads, burgers, fish, and pork chops. Be prepared to wait in line for a bit on a Friday or the weekends, but it is worth it! more
