Golfland

Had my son's 8th birthday party here. Very friendly staff. We had a terrific hostess, much better than other venues we had tried or attended for birthday parties. They have covered picnic tables that are reserved for you when you book a party package. Reasonable prizes on the party packages comparable to other kid's venues. \r \r We paid around $16 per child (they have other cheaper/more expensive packages also) and that got us our choice of 2 activties (we chose 2 rounds of golf) a reserved table for 3 hours, pizza and unlimted drinks for the kids, tokens to use in the arcade and a dedicated hostess. Tablecloths, napkins and plates are provided, as well as silverware. They also have a fridge to store your birthday cake in.\r \r The pizzas are ordered from Round Table and they have a kitchen that serves hot dogs, chicken fingers and other small snack type items. Golfland is one of my kids favorites. The prices are reasonable and the equipment in good shape. Their arcade smells musty, and last time we were at a party here they were very slow in getting the food out. PROS: good family fun CONS: more

This is a fun place to take the kids. My six year old loves the golf. We recently tried the waterslides and he loved that too. He could have spent the whole day there and would have been perfectly satisfied. more

This place is fun for a few hours. The miniature golf is a fun course but is aging and needs to be refreshed. The water slides are fun for a few runs, but after that the kids get bored pretty quickly. I'm also not always sure how safe it is in the landing pool because very often a kid is still in the way when another comes sliding down on top of them! I hate the arcade area. It seems to attract too many rowdy teens who hand around outside smoking. But, this place is fun for a couple of hours when you're looking for something nearby and inexpensive to do. Golfland is an old landmark in San Jose. It can be a fun family outing. My kids love the different themes on all the holes. We don't take it too seriously and sometimes throw the ball in the hole after too many attempts. Always remember to bring in a coupon for "buy one, get one free." Kids seem to have fun, the corse is in great condition for how many people play there. The food is resonable and a great variety for the little ones. And the water slides are a nice touch with lifeguards to help watch the little ones. We will be having a birthday party there and going again soon. I like the mini golf here, its somewhat beat up course and could use an upgrade but still plays ok. Only mini-golf around in south San Jose. Ive seen coupons off in the paper for here also. Theres also food stands and an arcade here, plenty of old school games too. In the back theres a small water park, with water slides and stuff too, better for little kids. Right by the lightrail tracks on Blossom Hill, cant miss. Bus access as well. more

This is a fun place to take your kid. They have two mini golf courses, so you don't have to wait very long to start. The holes are varied and well maintained, and kept clean. I don't know much about the video games, except that my kids enjoy them. more

This is a nice miniature golf course. There are two courses to chose from. You can pick which coarse you want based on how good of a golfer you are, or just try both. It's in a great location. The place is clean and neat. There is a snack bar to go to after you work up your appetite on the holes. Bring the kids for a family fun night, or just go with a friend. This is a great miniature golf course (and easy to find, just across the street from Oakridge Mall). it's fun for all ages. Little kids can do just one course, while the older ones can play both courses. The windmill always causes me problems, but fun nonetheless. It can get busy during the summer school break, but worth the wait more

Golfland in San Jose is a slice of Americana. It's everything you would expect a family mini golf course to be - only bigger. This is a double course. So, after you've played your 18 holes on the red course, you can go over to the other side and play the blue course. In between it's just about mandatory to stop in the club house for a giant soft ice cream cone. Take the kids. What could be better? more
