WARNING!!! 10/23/2011

I sighned up 4 months ago. I was only able to use the gym for about a month and a half, after that I ended up moving to Durango to go to school. When I called Golds Gym in Grand Junction to cancle my account they told me I had to cancle with ABC Financial, so when I called ABC they told me I had to cancle with Golds. So who am I saposed to cancle with? I call Golds again and yet again they tell me to call ABC. When I called ABC I asked to speak with a manager. She finaly told me how I had to cancle. ABC can only cancle your account if you move out of town and your new town cant have a Golds Gym in it or within 25 miles, luckly I moved to a small town far enough from another Golds Gym. ABC then told me about the 100$ cancelation fee since it is within 1 year of me sighning my contract, 50$ if it was longer than that. I didnt mind paying the 100$ fee but then they started asking me for more information that I feel they have no right to have. They asked me to scan and e-mail them a copy of my new lease agreement for my appartment, a copy of my most recent bank statment, and a letter from my new boss explaining I did live in my new town. Im not giving out copies of my bank statment or my lease agreement. I got it set up so I could only send in a copy of a pay stub and a letter from my boss. Once you send that in it takes about a week for them to recive it. Now even though you have complied to what they want there is more. While your trying to cancle your accout and your waiting for them you are still being charged monthly. I was never sent any conformation that they had recived my e-mail for cancelation even though I requested it. I waited about 2 weeks till I called in to confirm they had recived my e-mail. They had found it but I recived no confirmation. What I found out is they had been charging me for 2 months that I was unable to use the gym even while I had been trying to cancle my account. I asked them to remove the charges and told them it wasnt right that they kept charging me monthly even though I had been trying to cancle for the 2 months. They said they can not remove those charges because of the contract I sighned. Also they informed me that if I didnt pay my total ballance 3 months after I sent in my cancelation papers that my account would reactivate and start charging monthly. I asked them to fax me a copy of my contract so I could review it, Im still waiting for that fax. I have been fighting ABC for the last 2 1/2 months and I am still fighting them. The gym was great, nice and clean, great staff, loved it but as I said I moved for school. Im warning everyone I meet about how difficult and agravating it is to cancle your account because you will not be informed when you sighn up for your account. more
