Similar to JustJenn, I too was scammed by Gold's but she is lucky. I was scammed out of $650.Yes, hundreds of stories like Jenn and mine. This Gym doesnt deserve a rating!!! I loved the gym i went attended, I didnt not once have a problem with the gym, the service, or the staff. The problem I am having now is how I did, or ""didn't"" sign off my contract. I have been contacted by First Credit Services, INC., whom gold's gym send the ""unpaid"" accounts to, stating that I didn't sign the contract the right way? What is the right way, my contract was up, I went to the gym, signed a paper they gave me to not renew my contract, shook the hands of the manager and walked out. 6months later I start getting harrarssed by First Credit, telling me I am an ""DUMD""for not sending a certifed letter to the gym??? Why would I send a letter when i signed off at the gym? I tried speaking with this crazy woman who then started yelling at me. I am not happy with who the gym lets handle their relations with. not only that, i am now on a mission on letting everyone know how inconsiderate these people are after we give them the prevlage of our money and time... I have no bad words for the gym itself but for the way they do not tell you after you shake hands and are told the deal is now over, then turn their back and send your name to a very poor credit agency to try and scam you out of $77.82.. First the good news the gym in the way of equipment is concerned is great, they have more than enough to get the job done and you rarely have to wait for a machine/bench. Now the bad news: the staff is marginal at best, and the cleanliness of this gym is a joke. To be completely honest that is one of the main reasons why I changed gyms. The bathrooms are never clean and it smells so putrid you have to hold your breath when you use the urinals. I have heard numerous members comment on the lockerroom condition and the staff couldn't care less. The ceiling in the gym itself is in horrible condition, and when it rains the staff sets up trash cans to collect the drippings! You literally have to manuever around pools of water on the floor. I don't even want to think about the mold situation as a result of this! All in all if you don't need to use the restroom ever, and all you care about is the weights then this gym is for you, but lets be realistic you wil have to use the restroom and you will have to hold your breath!!!
