When you're tired of your standard ""One from column A and one from column B"" Chinese restaurants, go to Golden Palace. Yes they have all of your favorites, but they also have the magical difference: Dim Sum. You can order dim sum off the menu any time, or you can go on the weekend for traditional cart service - They bring the plates around to your table on a steam table-like cart, and you choose what you want. What is dim sum, you ask. Think Asian-style tapas; small (or not-so-small) plates of dumplings, buns, meat, rice, egg rolls, etc., perfectly portioned to share. Prices range from $2 for a ""small"" plate like sesame ba!!s, to $3.50 for a ""special"" dish like crystal shrimp dumplings. And are they delicious! They tend to lean heavily towards shrimp and pork stuffings, but vegetable-only dishes are available. For two people, I would order six different plates, including rice stuffed with chicken or vegetables, wrapped and cooked in a lotus leaf, seafood dumplings, barbecue pork buns, mmmmmmm good.\r
They also have the special fish maw soup, featuring fish maw - the special ingredient that gives seafood soup a unique texture. Okay. I'm going there right now.
Pros: Easy parking, good prices, great food
Cons: Location
