Arrogant staff and condescending..Shop around before you bring your car here, unfortunately I didn?t and I now regret it. They are extremely expensive, and very slow.

Friendly and Fair! 5/16/2014

I had a wonderful experience with Guy and Cort today at Gold Seal. I've taken all of my cars to them for my transmission needs. They have always been fair and friendly. Today I had a small repair that needed tending to but I felt like the most important customer there. They brought me to work and picked me up again in the sporty little smart car. They made my day very easy. Thanks guys! Keep up the fantastic service! more

I had the need for the services of Gold Seal transmission again this past August... Nothing has changed here.. The service and skills are still top of the line... I realized that in dealing with Guy (the owner) his parents brought him up well. He is honest and Above any measure of fairness and integrity............I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SHOP !!! .Gold Seal and Guy, most definitely have earned 5 stars with me. They do quality work and they stand behind what they do ABOVE AND BEYOND what would be required or expected. In Short, they are reliable, professional and Honest and ""did more than the right thing and went more than the extra mile "" for me.. They are good people. I wholeheartedly recommend this repair shop. I have had several vehicles repaired by them and have always been happy. Always a fair price and excellent work. Can't Do Better !! 5/23/2012

My mechanic recommended me to Gold Seal years ago stating "that's where he goes". I am glad he did. They do reliable work at an honest price. Highly recommend them to do any transmission work on your car, even before there is a major problem. more

Simply put : HONEST, FAIR, AND QUALITY WORK 3/19/2012

I again had the need for the services of Gold Seal this August...... And again the same previous comments I posted remain true.... It would seem that Guy's parents taught him to do the right thing in life... This is a Quality Shop and treating customers above and beyond what is necessary, is the way they operate. Guy is extremely fair and honest..You can't go wrong here .... .Gold Seal and Guy, most definately have earned 5 stars with me. Most helpful transmission shop around 10/27/2011

I was traveling through the area out on the main highway when my transmission light came on in my car. Being from out of the area, I was not familiar with the auto services available. After wasting my time at 3 different quick service areas I finally made my way to ""Guy"" who was extremely helpful. It was after lunch on a Friday afternoon and he was extremely willing to squeeze my car in on the fly. It turns out my car was still under warantee so I had to take it to the dealer, but Guy at Gold Seal Transmissions was the best. He helped answer my questions I had and was very honest. Thanks Guy! more

I have a 1971 Chevy Chevelle SS.. I was recommended by a friend to send my car to them.. Needless to say, I was a bit apprehensive.. Anyhow, I was please with their professionalism and their honesty. They took very good care of my car and I would recommend them to all.. more

Above & Beyond 3/30/2011

Two times now I have had trouble with my Dodge Ram. The first time Gold Seal Transmissions was recommended to me, I had feared the worst about the upcoming diagnosis. A truck out of warranty, and I myself unemployed. I had the vehicle towed to them by AAA. At the time I had no idea my AAA package only covered the first three miles. The distance traveled was over 10 miles. Without even discussing the problem with my truck, Guy told me about the lack of coverage by my AAA contract, and then he covered the difference in the towing charge at no further expense to me. Upon diagnosis, he explained everything to me and gave an exact figure. the work was done quickly and professionally. My truck was as clean as the morning it was towed. He showed me the broken axle shaft, and explained the probable reason for failure. Four months go by, My truck needed a new hub, which is in the same vicinity as the axle shaft. Since these two parts are close together Guy did'nt even charge me labor to install more

They were able to diagnose the problem, and worked well with the warranty company, since she was in need of a new transmission. Both Guy and Cort (owners) were extremely helpful in working out all the bugs with her transmission. They did not give up till it was running smoothly. They are Honest and treat you with respect whether it was me or my daughter. I would highly recommend their shop! more

For the mechanically challeged 6/16/2010

Let me start off by saying I am a 26 yr old woman who knows absolutely nothing about cars. Because of this, and my experience, it has been hard for me to trust anyone when it comes to repairs. I first took my car to some no name shop down the street from my house and got an estimate on repairs that needed to be made to my transmission on top of the fee to just have it looked at. I wanted a second opinion and found gold seal online. I randomly called and ended up speaking to Guy, who was extremely friendly and more than willing to help. The next day I brought my car in to have them take a look no charge. They gave me a more than reasonable price, along with some discounts, and my car was finished the next day. On top of that, Guy gave me the company car to use in the meantime so I wouldn't have to be stranded and depend on rides. I have never been to a place that was so accomodating, especially to a stranger. They could have easily taken advantage of my lack of knowledge in th more

First-Rate Repair Shop 4/21/2010

Guy and Cort run an outstanding operation. They were professional, courteous, and went beyond what I have experienced with past automotive repair facilities. Above all, they were knowledgeable (explaining work to be done, diagnosing problems they notice as well as related issues, offering tips for preventive maintenance) and honest throughout the whole process.\r \r I have found my future indy shop, and would refer anyone needing automotive repairs to them especially if they drive cars that are harder to work on like my VW. Why pay dealer prices if Gold Seal offers better service and top quality? more

47RH TRANSMISSION 4/2/2010

I was recommended to go to Gold seal and i am so glad i went there. The owner Guy and his son took me in the back of the shop and showed me every part that they were going to put in my trans and guy showed me what was in my trans and the bigger better parts that he was going to put in. And after i got it back I had a problem with the TC lockup and Guy figured out that it was actually the thermostat in the truck causing the problem and they got me a new one to solve my problem. They are very honest and tell you exactly what you are going to need. I would recommend GOLD SEAL to anyone they did a great job! more

Honest for a change! 3/23/2010

My experience at Gold Seal was one to be commented on. They were not only professional, but also went above and beyond my expectations. I had been to two different shops before them and they told me two different things. The shop owner at Gold Seal went out of his way to diagnose the problem. It turned out that it wasn't a transmission problem after all. I appreciate his honesty, because he actually inspected the vehicle for the problem rather than over charging me. I would highly recommend Gold Seal to anyone who may have transmission problems. more

Trustworthy- I need them! 3/22/2010

I met Guy and Cort (Gold Seal's owners) many years ago and continue to be able to depend on them. They have repaired, rebuilt, or maintained so many different vehicles for me through the years. They have diagnosed problems that haven't always led to repairs in their shop - I trust their opinions and suggestions and have repeatedly turned to them for help. They have taught me to maintain my transmission ( they do fluid changes) reducing the tears they have dried for me! \r \r When you walk through the door you are greated by family and guided through the process of your transmission repair. Not an easy thing to do when customers are stressed over a major repair, Gold Seal tries to keep the expense to a minimum and the stress,...well, they do their best! Guy has spent a lot of time explaining to me the why of what happened!\r \r I could go on and on but the telling thing for me is that every time I stop by their offices I hear of another repeat customer that I know well! more
