Globe Transmissions

I've been going to globe transmission for many years. They've service various cars and SUV's that I've owned. They've surprised me on a number of occassions. My most recent experience came when my SUV was having problems shifting out of first gear. I thought for sure the transmission needed to be changed. Vito called me and told me it was a minor adjustment that needed to be made, and made the repair. Made my day! When I picked up the vehicle another customer came in and had a similar problem. Again, Vito advised that it was really just an an adjustment that needed to be made. He could have easily sold us both a new transmission, as we were both expecting just that. It's been over a mont and the SUV is running with no issues. I give Vito and Globe high marks for their honesty, good work, and reasonable prices. NAD more

My car transmission broke. I heard a loud metalic sound, then I could no longer drive in reverse. Fortunately I could still drive forward. Globe transmissions diagnosed the problem as most likely a transmission band and estimated the repair as $850 plus taxes ($925.47 total). He did not try convince me I needed a ""transmission overhaul,"" which many transmission places will do.\r \r I dropped off the car Saturday morning, which was convenient since I did not have to take time off work in order to bring them the car. Vito, the owner was polite and professional. It looks like he has been doing this work for many years. Without going into details, anyone who has found a good garage knows what a good garage looks like. Globe Transmissions had that look.\r \r On Tuesday, the day he promised to begin the work, Vito called, confirmed that he found a broken transmission band, and said the repair would be completed Wednesday evening at the promised price. I picked up the car Thursday morning. \r \r In summary, the work was quickly done at a fair price. Vito the owner rebuilds the units himself. He has many years of experience and takes pride in his work. He rebuilt a transmission for my Jeep years ago and still no problems. Just repaired my wifes Acura. So far so good!!!! Pros: the Boss rebuilds the transmissions more
