Let me start out by saying that this place is just amazing! Its so nice having a place like this here in the triangle. By this I mean a real good home cooked Italian place that has that NY restaurant flare. Fellow NYers will know what I mean by this. While we may have an abundance of these kind of places back home, it really is quite rare to come across one done right down here in NC, but boy has this place got it. From the pizza guy tossing pizzas right up front when you walk in to the smell of seafood and wine in the kitchen, this place really makes me feel right at home. Almost makes me forget about the cows I drove by on the way in because when I walk out of this place I almost expect to walk up the block to my parallell parked car......And looking back at a past review, their sauce is excellent by my standards. Maybe its not a traditional ?marinara? sauce by definition, but being from an Italian family myself, I could say that this is definitely one heck of a tomato sauce?.almost like a ?gravy.? That reviewer claims to know what hes talking about because he says hes ?NY Italian? but let me tell you, Italian families all have different ways of cooking as well as different family traditions. So if theres anything that this guy should know its that good cooking isn?t just cooking the way your family cooks, it consists of quality ingredients made by people that care. And for the record, I looked at this guys other reviews of places and they were mostly bad. It seems that any place that doesn?t make food the way he would himself isn?t good, so I would say that if you want food cooked the way you want, then cook it yourself buddy. So if anybody wants some great Italian food or pizza, go to Georgina?s and feel fully confident that what you are being served is the made with the utmost care and highest quality ingredients around (and of you want my recommendation get the calamari appetizer and chicken marsala?.to die for!)
