I am a student in the Cosmetology Department at Georgia Career Institute. i am so glad I chose to continue my education at GCI. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and caring. I am excited for each new day. We are challenged to preform at and above our level (encouraged to try higher levels than we think we can achieve). I get services done in the other departments all of the professionals in training are just that PROFESSIONAL! I enjoy working with the clients and try to make their visit very special. If you have not been to the new facility, come visit the atmosphere is wonderful, the decor is masterful....it is truly a full service salon. I could not be more happier with my choice of career and college. If you have had poor service in the past remember new students come every week, try us again, you will see the improvement. more

My granddaughter and I got pedicures. What an amazing experience! I have been to many professionals for this service and Renita surpassed anything I have experienced. I also had a detox foot bath before the pedicure. It was amazing and a great combination of services. My granddaughter also got a hair cut. She loved it and walked out of there a little sassy because of her great experience. Thank you for taking such good care of us.....\r \r Also, they have a state of the art facility!!! I will never be back to GCI.The way you treat your trainers is deplorable.You had one of the best trainers ever and because of petty jealousies you force her out.This is a call out to my Facebook friends to find another place to go to for services that you need.Go wherever Lisa Allen Wakefield goes.She is great at what she does. more

I recently decided to go back to school and I chose georgia career institute and it has been the best decision of my life. It is a fabulous school with so many opportunities and areas to excel in. This place feels like home . When I first started I was lost but thanks to Mrs. Shirley, I completely understand and as I have only been here a month now as I continue on this wonderful journey through cosmetology , I have to say , this is the greatest school ever. Hello, my name is Geneva & I'm a full time COS student here at GCI. I've been here for about 3 weeks & I'm always thrilled to come everyday. My overall mood has changed drastically since I started here, I come to school happy & leave happy. Unlike high-school which most students leave during the day unhappy & graduate not wanting to go to another school because they are afraid the bad memories, this is NOTHING like that. I look forward to my school day more than I ever have.The teachers are very helpful, the structure of my program is organized & I learn things so much faster than I have before. If you like hands on work with your schooling then I more than recommend GCI. You'll never want to miss a day because of the mood you leave in. I'm not afraid to ask questions, I know I'll get the help I need when & if I need it. I have a feeling this is going to be the best year of my life & I owe it all to the wonderful teachers, my classmates, & the overall school in general. more

I would like to start out with thanking the staff for opening up the doors once again for me to finish my school to start my career as a Cosmetologist. I have had some misshapes (as everyone) in life that has come between me and furthering my career. I have had to drop out twice to find a paying job to make a living and putting my dreams on hold. The staff at GCI Mrs Cathey, Mrs Beth and Mrs Shirley & Mrs Dunn have been so kind to get me back on track for the 3rd time where I will finish my 462 hrs and Graduate the second week into December : I would recommend GCI Murfreesboro to anyone wanting to start a career in Cosmetology, Esthetics, Message or nails. I can honestly say they are the BEST SCHOOL IN TOWN and it's not only a school you become part of a family! Everyone is there to help you Teachers, Administration and the students. Not only is it a great school but it is a wonderful place to get services done for low cost. Not saying the work you will service is low cost, because I have seen some work the students have done that is over the top! When i started here I thought i knew a lot of things about cos well to tell the truth I was wrong but now that I have had help and guidance from my instructors I'm learning so much. Hello, my name is Travis Stanley and I'm a current student at Georgia Career Institute in Murfreesboro, Tn . Before I started school I was one of those guys that knew nothing about hair, nails, or skin care . GCI took me in their family as soon as i walked in with open arms. With a staff full of caring admissions, great financial aid, and more than perfect instructors that are willing to help you every step of the way . & i can say being 8 and a half months in the program I cant believe some of the skills i've learn . I even have placement already in a barber shop AND salon, go figure for someone that didn't know a thing about this trade . I recommend this school to anyone that wants to go into the field of cos, i even recommend it from personal experience based on the above statement of not knowing where to begin . I have been a faithful customer at GCI Murfreesboro over 6 years. I am extremely pleased with the service. I am not able to do my own hair and love the way the students do my hair. I have a good time with the students, they are very knowledgeable and friendly. When student graduate and I see a new student, I have always been pleased. Extremely unprofessional folks in the massage department of this school, and you could do much better, especially for the money you'd be paying to go here. If you're interested in a quality education in the field of massage, go elsewhere! There are way too many GOOD massage schools, run by people who know what they're doing, in this area for you to settle for this place. If I could have given less than 1 star, I would have. more

I went to school here, my instructors were extremely helpful. I learned using Matrix color, Redken color, Joico color and CHI color, which was very important when I went in the salon. The instructors are always trying different things to make learning more fun. I am a graduate of GCI in the boro, i loved it, i learned so much about my profession. I had visited a few schools in the area and chose GCI due to the overwhelming higher education and focus on being the best. I now have one up on the competition, just from going to school there. I have read some of these reviews and have to say if you are an adult with professionalism and career in mind this is the place to go, its not for teenagers that just want something to do with the days.
