Premiere stop for Tobacco products 1/17/2006

This has been my number one stop for tobacco products since I movied to DC six years ago. They probably have the most knowledgeable staff of any area tobacco dealer. And to my knowledge, they have the largest walk-in humidor of any shop as well. Pretty much they stock everything but the cubans. (And who knows, maybe if you say the secret word??) The prices are very reasonable, so much so that I've been able to afford their wares even on my non-proft salary. Keep in mind this review refers to cigars and pipe tobacco, since I've never purchased cigarettes from them. more

The smell of tobacco at the bus stop 8/21/2005

Many people in Georgetown have probably experienced this shop as they wait for the 30 bus on M Street just off of Wisconsin. They get a lingering whiff of the blend of tobaccos as the doors open onto the street. Just walking into the shop you get a sense of Georgetown's history. There are cases and cases of cigars and tobacco and it's fun to just look around at their memorabilia. Even if you don't smoke, this shop is fun to drop into. more

Top of the Line (I Guess) 8/15/2005

Finest cigar aficionados are the only ones who need apply to this high-end cigar store in the heart of Georgetown. Complete, premium cigar and pipe supplies and tobacco available, but you better know what you're talking about before you go in. When I entered and asked a few questions, the salesmen were less than helpful and clearly didn't feel like wasting their time with a naive inquisitor like myself. more

For Tobacco Enthusiasts 8/15/2005

Tobacco is on its way out these days, all you hear about are the related health risks and so on. But while I heartily disapprove of smoking cigarettes, I don't see anything wrong with an occasional cigar or pipe of fine tobacco. If you feel the same way, then Georgetown Tobacco will seem like a second home to you. They have the finest stuff here, and you can purchase accessories like pipes as well. more
