Do not use them! They screwed me over! My son had his 2005 accord towed there from UCF where he goes to school to fix a broken water pump. They fixed it and charged close to the estimated amount. Don called me and told me the car was ready to pickup and mentioned that the mechanic looked everything over and noticed a small oil leak that they could investigate. I told him not to worry about it and that I would pay for the work they had done. I had to pay over the phone with a credit card because I live in Miami. Don was not happy because he said they charge them more for a transaction over the phone but there was no other option so he did it. Don called my son 20 minutes later to tell him that there was power steering fluid leaking now. My son didn't authorized the work and told me so I called Don. I asked him how could it be leaking now if the car was already checked and ready to pick up. He said that it happened after when the mechanic test drove the car. I asked why he would test drive it after if it was ready to pick up. I then told him to leave it alone. When my son arrived to pickup the car the power steering reservoir was empty. I had already told him to bring some to put in suspecting that it would be. The fluid was GUSHING OUT!!!!! I called and spoke with Don - he put the mechanic on that tried to tell me that it started leaking after I had paid and that the car was still up on the rack. This was obviously a lie because Don had told me the mechanic noticed it after he test drove the car. Their stories didn't match. In addition, the high pressure hose on the power steering was replaced last year and everything was checked. They are scammers and took advantage of the fact that I live in Miami!! Thank God I paid with a credit card. I am disputing their charge until they agree to fix what they broke. I will update this post if they do anything to fix the problem. Be very cautious if you take your car there!!! \r

Update: They are not going to do anything to correct this. As a matter of fact, I spoke with Gene himself and he started dropping ""F"" bombs because he didn't like what I suspected and then even went as far to suggest that I was saying those things because I was from Miami and we must do things differently here. Hmmm, could it be that he said that because my name is Ricardo, even though I have perfect English, was born here, served my country and have a college degree? He offered absolutely zero to help resolve the situation. I had someone check the car and the seals at the rack of the rack & pinion steering are shot. I will need to replace the entire unit, which is not worth it. In addition to this, the tow truck driver that had to pick my son up and take him and his car back told him that this is the 4th time he has taken a car there and then had to come back and pick it up again!!!! If you are going to take your car to Gene's you better get another mechanic to check it out first and verify that there isn't anything else wrong before they get their hands on it. Now I have to purchase another car for my son. Worst decision of my life to have his car taken there. Please let me know if you know of a reputable mechanic near UCF if I should need one in the future.
