Too Much Fun! 8/8/2008

This was actually my second visit to Gem Mountain. I regretted not having any stones from my first trip faceted or set. This time, however, I was able to have two of my new gemstone finds faceted (an emerald and a green tourmaline), and my friend purchased a beautiful ring setting for her pink tourmaline. We can hardly wait until our order arrives!! We enjoyed the trip and plan to make it back soon to hunt for more treasures! The staff was very friendly, helpful and informative and the gemstones are large and plentiful! I will probably be mailing back some stones from both trips to be faceted and/or set at a later date. Pros: Fun atmosphere, beautiful gemstones, shaded seating Cons: Closed on Sunday more

They are very knowledgeable and offered many varieties of buckets for "sloothing" or "panning". After finding the stones, crystals and gems, You can have them cut, or the cut can come free with a paid for bucket of minerals. When I spoke to the Shops manager, He claim, "We Are The Best Gem Shop On The East Coast" and after our visit, I believe him. more
