For Hibachi Lovers 3/29/2012

The best place for Hibachi with a lot of fun!! I go there because of the recommendation from my friend, and it didn't disappoint me. We love its chef, service and definitely the food! I ordered a Geisha Special and it came with Filet Mignon, shrimp, lobster, chicken, mushroom & onion stir-fry, shrimp tempura and delicious fried rice. The most appreciative food for me is its Filet Mignon - the juice from the meat mixing with the sauce tasted very yummy. For the special, I chose the hot sake and not bad too! Besides, the chef and the server were both interesting and polite to us. When the chef was cooking in front of our dining table, he did many tricks that made us laugh so hard. I really like this place, and I need to tell you guys about it! more

FRESH SUSHI!!! 2/7/2012

Geisha is one of the only places I will go to if I'm really in the mood for Hibachi. I have never had a bad experience here and I can't believe all the bad reviews :/\r \r The staff has always been nice, they don't bug you, but they sure know their timing. The chefs are friendly and they do all the fun tricks :) Don't miss out on this great place, eat for yourself!!! more

I love this place 3/15/2011

I live out of town and get to Vegas at least 6 times a year. I try at lest 3 times a year to get to Geisha, the staff is alway awesome and I have never had a bad meal, nor have I left not satisfied. I totally disagree with all the negative comments I have seen on here. Last year we had my birthday at Geisha with 16 people and they accommodated us very well. My whole party thoroughly enjoyed it. more

Restraurant that does not focus on customers satisfaction 8/23/2008

It seems to me that some other customer already have put down what I was about to write here. I do agree with them that this restraurant is somewhat ""cheap"" towards customer. The price is pretty up there(I do know that teppanyaki are costly), but the food that is being served made me laugh. Basically they'll fill you up with bucket of rice but just gives few pieces of the meat and shrimp. It almost seems like a sampler, not a whole meal. The wait was over 30 minutes despite the fact that there were just one other table occupied other than ours. Not recommending this restraruant. Ive been to about 4 japanese restraurant that offers teppanyaki and this one definetely was the worst. Pros: Free refill? Cons: ""Cheap"" more

Best teppanyaki in Vegas 10/4/2007

Oh.. ""MY God"" who are these people writing bad review about Geisha Steakhouse..... I know you do not mean that... you people probably don't enjoy Teppan very much!!!!!!!!!!!!! Me'''' I love Teppanyaki Restaurant... I am Teppan!!!!!!! Every city I visit, the very first restaurant is Teppanyaki ..... I live in Northern California,,, My favorite Teppanyaki Rest... Is Hana & Benihana.. but my experiance @ Geisha Steakhouse is #1 in my list of Teppanyaki Restaurants.... I been to Las Vegas many time and everytime I went I would dine at one of the hotel Teppanyaki Restaurants.... they charge u arm and leg for the food and entertainment some even charge U extra for Fried rice..now that's is not right......... but last month my friend took me to a off the strip Teppanyaki Restaurant called Geisha Steakhouse, this place was great right of the mark,,, the inside was cozy, giving you that traditional Japanese feeling.... I think the server was the Manager... she was very polite... anyway my friend and I order the Geisha Special the Price was Great compare to the strip. Then came the chef to entertain... ""for me It all about Food they serve""..... Wow.... Wow... The fried rice made by the Chef was the best tasting Fried rice I have every tasted... not to salty or oily but Gooooddd.... so I asked the Chef what he put in the fried rice??? he replied ""it a house secret"" I tell you, I still could taste the Fried rice in my mouth.... and the amount of food they give you... it is totally worth every penny... All of Teppanyaki Rest.. I visit,.... I could finish the whole dish,,, but here I could not finish the whole plate it was so much... I mean this was the best Teppanyaki restaurant every... Now I have a favorite restaurant in Las Vegas.... to all you Teppan Lover... go to Geisha Restaurant ..... more

Will be missed. 9/10/2007

When I found out that Geisha was opening a west side location, I was ecstatic! I thought this was great. Finally a location close to home. But when I tried the west location I was sad to find that this location was nothing like the East. Their portions were ok but the sauces weren't even close to the original Geisha. I found out it was because it wasn't even the same owners. These guys just used the name. Had the food been the same I wouldn't have cared but their ""secret sauce"" should have been kept a secret. It looked kind of like a runny orange liquid that turned all the rice red and the mustard didn't look like mustard but more like a red orange gravy. Though I was disappointed, at least I still had the East side Geisha. My boyfriend and I went to the East Geisha for dinner a few nights ago and I'm afraid I was socked in the face once again. Unlike our usual healthy portions of shrimp, we were given 3 pieces. The usual helpings of vegetables consisted of one onion for 2 of us, 2 strips of zucchini and a whole lot of rice. When I asked for hot mustard, the chef pulled out the same runny red orange sauce that I had seen on the West side. And although they still had the secret sauce, they used it very sparingly. I would like to know who the moron is that complained about the mustard or too much secret sauce so that I could tell him thanks for ruining a great restaurant. Needless to say, I think that was my last trip to Geisha. It was good while it lasted. Pros: Service is good, chefs are entertaining. Cons: Portions are comparable to Benihana. Taste is becoming bland. more

Don't waste your time... it's not what it used to be 3/13/2007

My husband and I have ate at the Geisha Steakhouse every year on our anniversary for the past 8 years now. We went for our annual anniversary meal and found that it has changed owners. We were immediately disappointed with the service, or lack there of, the cuisine and portions were lacking as well. With only 2 tables occupied we were seated with two other couples, my husband and I both ordered the Giesha special which used to be healthy portions of lobster, shrimp, chicken and filet mignon, etc., which at $34.99 a plate was well worth it. Tonight the other couples did not order the same food as we had yet our lobster, shrimp and filet mignon, etc. were split up between the 6 people at the table. They did not order it nor have to pay for it. Yet we were not served their scallops. At any rate, we used to get a full plate of food, tonight our plate was only 1/3 filled - 3 pieces of shrimp, 3 bite size pieces of lobster, 3 bite sized pieces of chicken and 4 bite sized pieces of filet mignon all rubbery and overcooked served with flavorless oily rice. On top of all the disappointment already served up, they handed us a bill with a 17% gratuity already added (for two people)! Unbelievable, but true. Ask me a year ago I would have recommended it to anyone, now... don't waste your time or money. Oh and can't forget to mention this one, as we were getting up to leave the chef cooking at the table across from us knocked over a ladies drink right on her lap... What an experience and not a good one! Eat there at your own risk! Pros: sake is good when not boiling hot Cons: new owners, share your food with people you don't know, terrible service, expensive for size of portions more

A Great Recommendation! 5/15/2003

This quaint little restaurant is full of surprises. The surprise was the great taste of the food and the careful preparation of the Chef who served us. After moving to Las Vegas from the east coast. We were looking for a Japanese Steakhouse like the one we use to travel up to Pocono's Mountain to visit. A friend I work with who has lived here all her life recommended it to me. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. She said it was the best kept secret in Las Vegas. She is absolutely correct. The seafood was fresh and the steak was awesome. The restaurant offers a special for two and it was well worth the money. It is off the beaten path but, trust me it will be worth the trip. Pros: Fresh Seafood, Excellent Steak, Moderately Priced Cons: No LoMein more
