Best

Gator Park has airboat rides every 20 minutes and according to my bf's research, the cheapest place around at $27/person. However, the ride is short and is shared with ~20 people ...

The best deal we found 9/3/2010

We were in Miami for a week and decided to check out the Everglades. The hotel sugessted Gator Park...go before 10 am and it's buy 1 get 1 FREE! That's the best deal we found for all the Everglade/Gator Tours. The tour guide was awesome...he was very informative and we were able to see quite a few gators and other wild life. He started off slow then cranked it up and we were cruising pretty fast on the boat...take off your hats and hold on to your kids! On the way back an alligator swam right up to our boat...that was very cool! After the tour was over we headed over to the show...that was pretty funny! The show guy's voice was "interesting" and he had a few tricks up his sleeve. I'll let you find out! Afterwards we headed to the store and ordered some Gator Nuggets...you gotta try them atleast once! Be sure to bring water bottles with you! more

The best Everglades tour ever! 8/20/2010

My husband and I went to Gator Park for an Everglades tour. Neither of us were particularly excited about it, but someone suggested we take a tour so we did. It was amazing! Our airboat captain / tour guide was great, explaining the history of the Everglades and giving us fun facts about that area. He put all of our minds at ease about the dangers in the area and had us laughing the whole time. After the airboat ride, we went to a gator wrestling show. Without giving away any details, it was also a ton of fun. This experience was worth far more than the $17 cost of admission!? more

Had a good time... 8/19/2010

The tour guide on the boat was very knowledgeable and funny. We saw a bunch of gators at the beginning, as well as a turtle. The only bad thing is the boat drivers beg a lot for tips. The gator-wrestling show was very good, I highly recommend it. Again, they ask for tips. more

Very good and efficient tours 8/10/2010

Very good and efficient tours, no need to wait long for a boat, every 15-20min there is another boat leaving, the tour guides are very nice and dedicated. also amazing right off the highway no dirt road leading nowhere to get to it. We saw a couple of alligators 1 foot from the boat, the biggest one was like 12feet long, there is a lot of nice birds and beautiful nature. You can buy in gift shop's restaurant some fried frog legs and some alligator dishes. more

Great for kids! 8/10/2010

Airboat tour is nice and the show afterwards is very entertaining. Great for kids ****If you want to see gators go on a hot sunny day.**** more

The alligator show was really entertaining 8/5/2010

Took the in-laws here and had a really good time. Our airboat tour was more of a ride than educational experience, but was pretty fun nonetheless. The alligator show was really entertaining. (My wife was chosen to "wrestle" with the alligator and was scared to death during the whole show. It was hilarious!) Definitely one of the better places in the Everglades to take visiting friends or relatives. more

I highly recommend Gator Park to any Florida tourists 8/5/2010

it was a choice between Gator Park and Coopertown. We chose to go to Gator Park because it was a little bit cheaper plus it had a little show at the end. We got to see a bunch of gators, turtles, lizards, and birds at the Everglades. And you get to actually hold a jr size gator at the show. The tour guides are hilarious and so entertaining. I highly recommend Gator Park to any Florida tourists. more

Exciting adventure 7/29/2010

Gator Park tour goes like this... I am on an air boat admiring alligators from afar. I then am given an opportunity to hold an alligator for a photo-op. Then, I am served some alligator nuggets. Something peculiar about this progression of events. more

Thoroughly recommended to anyone 7/26/2010

Saw only a few gators as it is apparently 'mating season' but the overall airboat tour was excellent! Followed by an alligator wrestling show, value for money was better than just paying 4 an airboat tour! Thorougly recommended to anyone interested in exploring the Everglades for about 35mins, although there are longer packages available at an extra cost... more

Took us on a ride for our lives! 7/22/2010

Saved $3 with a coupon, but ended up spending $3 on a Mexican pina colada ice cream. Our tour guide was funny, and took us on a ride for our lives. Beware, you may get a bit wet with swamp water! But it is fun! Don't worry, its just a little water. I saw a baby alligator and some larger alligators, and they swam up right next to the boat! There are also some birds that come real close and some even land on the tour guide. The show after the tour is fun, don't show any fear or they will use it against you! You will see more alligators, a skunk, toad, tropical bird, and scorpion. My friends and I sprayed ourselves silly and were frying up in the heat from being so shiny. Apparently you don't need mosquito repellent during the day because the mosquitoes come out at night when it is cooler. You are forewarned. Just wear a hat, sunblock, shorts, tanks, and some flip flops. more

Never seen so many tame gators 7/22/2010

It was a fun trip and the staff was friendly. The trip was short over the Everglades, but it was informative. The tour guide slowed down at times so everyone could stand up and check out the wildlife. more

Gator Park is FUN!!! 7/20/2010

I really liked the airboat tour of the swamps and seeing the alligators, iguana, turtles and birds in a natural habitat. The tour guides are characters! They also have no problem letting everyone know that tipping is expected and appreciated. I did agree with the conservation theme that Gator Park employees sressed during their presentations. Overall, the tour of nature on the airboat was informative. more

I think anyone going to Miami should do this 6/30/2010

I was picked up from my hotel at 9.30pm and dropped back at 1.00am. As you drive to Gator Park, the driver tells you about all of the points of interest you pass. Then when you get there you can go and have a look around for 15 minutes, before going on an airboat through the Everglades. I saw 4 Alligators and the airboat was so fun. Then we went to a show, where a guy named Sam talked about Alligators. The did crazy things with the live alligators. I won't spoil the suprise but I would have to say that everyone should do it, as it only takes half a day. more

Cheesy/campy fun 6/25/2010

Cheesy/campy fun. We were in South Beach and wanted to get away for a day...so combined this trip with some snorkeling in the keys. I think the Everglades are a must see for everyone. It's a treasure. There are plenty of Everglade tours to choose from, but this place is one of the closest to South Beach and does a great job. The airboat ride is a lot of fun....you'll see plenty of gators big and small, as well as other wildlife...different birds who like to fly into the boat and beg for food, turtles, fish, etc. After starting out slowly to look for gators...the airboat opens up and you get to pick up some speed through some of the canals. It's about 30 minutes long although I'd like it to be longer to explore more of the Everglades. After the boat, you have a short animal show and learn about some of the wildlife in the glades...including a 'alligator wrestling' demo. Don't forget to tip the airboat guide and showman. more

What an AMAZING experience! 5/25/2010

Our flight home left pretty late in the day, so we decided to go on an airboat tour of the Everglades using Gator Park. What an amazing experience! Even though we managed to go on the tour during one of the coldest days of the year (we were shivering and freezing in long pants and sweatshirts!), it was still incredible. We first went on a 40 minute airboat tour, where we had a knowledgeable and engaging guide who made alligator calls to his "buddies" in the water, despite the fact that they didn't want to come out in the cold temperatures. We saw a few adult alligators, baby alligators, and lots of other interesting tropical wildlife. Along with wildlife viewing we went at top speed on the airboat a few times, which was quite exiting! After the airboat tour we were treated to an alligator "wrestling" show, which included an experienced gator guide jumping on an alligator's back, a viewing of a baby alligator, and an opportunity (for an extra $3) to take our picture with Mikey the three year old alligator. Yeah, I felt a little touristy and cheesy during this portion, but for a west coaster this was definitely a really cool once-in-a-lifetime experience, with photos I will probably show for years. Yep, I'm allowed to be a little dorky for occasions like this. more

The highlight of my trip! 5/25/2010

This was truly the highlight of my trip to Miami. We signed up through Safari Tours. We were picked up bright and early in front of our hotel and taken directly to and from Gator Park. The everglades were absolutely beautiful. The weather was perfect The staff was friendly and the air boat was was the most fun I've had in a long time. It was like a real life Disneyland Jungle cruise. It was so peaceful on the water, and it was shocking to see soooo many alligators. I loved whipping across the water at 30 mph speeding through the everglades. I'm not much of an outdoor person so I felt very adventurous on the air boat. In addition to the gators, there was a huge variety of birds. A peacock was walking around outside the gift shop, it was so beautiful. After the air boat ride, the alligator show was a blast. Our tour guide wrestled a HUGE alligator! He also brought a cute tiny baby right up to the audience. At the end of the show we got a chance to hold a fairly large alligator. To top it off I had some gator nuggets.... although I couldn't finish them because I kept thinking about all of the cute baby alligators I just saw. Beware of the bugs.... I lathered up in bug repellent and I didn't get one bite. more

Once in a lifetime experience! 5/6/2010

They have a 30 min alligator show where the alligator handlers demonstrate wrestling and also allow you to hold a baby alligator in your hand. After that, they take you in their air boat into the everglades. The experience is definitely worth experiencing . It is a great thrilling ride into the swamps and the alligators swim up pretty close. It is great to watch them in their natural habitat. You can see some breathtaking sunsets while on the boat if you take a later ride. more
