I have never had any services from this company and want to inform any readers that my ex-husband is a very jealous and deviant person. I've been hiring Gary's Lawn Service for over 15 years. My yard has always looked great and Gary has always applied free applications to show his appreciation for my repeat business. There is no way possible that these complaints are accurate. All complaints except the positive one are obviously made up. You can figure this out by the grammar these people are using. I'm guessing they are other competitive companies or ex-employees. Gary has always been more than fair with me and I would highly recommend his services to anyone. Don't believe everything you read and read carefully between the lines. The bottom line is that he has been in business here in the Springs for over 15 years because he is a very well trusted business man. QUIT flyering my ""NO SOLICITATION"" marked home. Your company is obviously run by people who can't communicate or read. Every year I get your flyers. I am sorry that there are any poor people out there actually want to do business you. I hope people check out your business first on here. Only 1 good report I can see. SAD. And you don't respond to BBB complaints, and have asked them not to even notify you of them. NOT A REPUTABLE BUSINESS!!! more

I had Garys Lawn service come out and wanst happy with the fertilization. I called and called.... about 3 times a week for about eight weeks. They promised to come out and redo the lawn over and over but never came. I feel like they had fun wasting my time. My hope is that there business gives them time to waste and reflect on customer service. more

Wish I could also give less than 1 star. I agree with others that the price is high, but I was assured that I was paying for a professional that would fix any problems on the spot. Hired this agency for a Sprinkler Start Up package. The technician was here for 30 mins, maybe 40. Got the backyard sprinklers on but not the front. Also could not figure out how to program the system. He told me he was stumped and had other jobs he needed to get to. more

The man that owns this bussiness is horrible! He is unethical, rude, and ignorant, just to name a few. Gary has no respect for people and is cocky. He tells you one price then charges outrageous other prices. He treats his employees like crap, tells them to take other advertisements from peoples doors, and takes signs from the streets. He is a drug user, and womenizer and beats women. He has no code of ethics for life in general and even worse when it comes to his business. He does not pay taxes yet charges taxes. If an employee gets tired of his unethical ways and quits he will not pay them the wages that they earned. By using garys lawn service you will be attributing to his unethical ways and allowing him to go on treating people like crap. Please use another honest business. more

My lawns have been the best on the block as a result of Gary's Lawn Service, and his use of polymer crystals! I didn't use him, one year, and sorely regretted it! If you research the cost of polymer crystals, they are VERY expensive; thus the cost.I asked my lawn people if they could add them and the cost was exhorbitant because they don't stock them, or buy in bulk, like Gary does. Personal choice, of course. But only if you want a fabulous lawn! The reviews found here seem to be based on cost; my lawn is worth every dime with Gary! more

Hired this company over the phone in April 09 to aerate and fertilize my lawn. Our agreed upon price was $65 for front and back. His crew supposedly did some major service (unauthorized) and charged us well over $200. There was absolutely no reasoning with this guy. He yelled at my wife, he yelled at me and was abusive and threatening. Both he and his (un)able assistant claimed there was no way it was their mistake and threatened a law suit and more. I offered to split the difference of the disputed amount and he would not accept that. I contacted the Better Business B and they said he simply ignores them because everything they get on him is negative. The guy doesn't deserve your business. Look elsewhere. In April of 2009 i hired Gary's Lawn Service to blowout my sprinkler system to prepare my lawn for the summer. At this time we had been getting a lot of rain, so happen when his so-call sprinkler guy came. He informed me that i needed a value replaced. He charged me $80.00 bucks for the blowout and an additional $280.00 bucks for a value that i later found out cost $20.00 at Home Depot. Because i am a trusting person i assumed that it was working properly because after the repair he told me all was good and it is now working fine!!!!!! It was raining so there was no need to have it on. On Wednesday about three days later it had began to heat up with no rain, so i attempted to turn it on with no results. IT NEVER WORKED!!!!!!! I contacted Gary and he said that he would not be able to come back out until 5days later and it would be another $80.00 bucks and that it may cost more because something else could have gone wrong. Lets keep in mind that I NEVER USED IT FROM THE FIRST REPAIR THAT SHOULD HAVE HAD EVERYTHING WORKING PROPERLY!!!!! My co-worked set me up with her guy and he came over he said that the value was never replaced, showed it to me and charged me under $70.00 bucks and now my sprinklers works fine! DONT USE GARY'S LAWN SERVICE HE IS A RIPP OFF AND SHOULD BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS! Cons: RIP OFF more

Ever seen Mickey Mou__ at work this is one job on my sprinkler system. I hired Gary Lawn's Service last year to blow-out the system, the work was improperly done cause when it came to starting it back up in the springs the backflow valve was busted. So, it was replace at a steep cost of close to $500.00, just to find out that the system still does not work. When I had it look at I found out the he had never check out the work properly. First he had never started the water because if he would had he would had found out that it is spaying all over the place where he replace the backflow valve, second he had turned off all the valve manually so they would work anyways, and third he tried to say it was the station timer and that works fine, and lastly he then said that the solenoids must be bad. Nothing is wrong with the system but the Mickey Mou__ work that he performed. I lost out on not only $500 for the loosely job but also on two days of work lost. I tried to call Gary to let him know about this person but the only person that returned my call was Jon the person that came to my house it might as well have been Mickey Mou__ in person if you ask. I want my money back I am a single mom and I need to have my system repaired the right way. Please do not have this person work on your system because they not honest. Cons: worst job ever more

2 crews came out, one for sprinkler and one for aeration. I caught one of the guys from the aeration crew pissing on the side of my house. NOT the rocks but the side of the house!!! Pros: Sprinkler guy was personable Cons: Aeration guy took a wizz on the side of my house more

Incomplete sprinkler blowout/check service and inferior quality of work: The service was to include inspecting and making sure all sprinkler head worked properly. I was told that everything was ""just fine"" even though I knew at least one sprinkler head was broken. He was at my property when I told the company this on the phone and he STILL failed to check it. He just left. Way over-priced: $100, when the going rate was around $35 from other companies. I was shocked, but paid it because he was rude in demanding it. I was not told how much it would cost before it was done. Failed to provide adequate advertised ""free cover - $60 value"": The cover was just a plastic garbage bag with some insulation under it and taped up. The bag failed to stay on the pipes for more than a couple months, it fell apart. I called a couple time and was always told that someone would get back to me, but nobody ever did. I had Gary's lawn service conduct a sprinkler shutdown and the following spring they came back to restart my sprinklers. At that time, I identified that due to their negligence my sprinkler system was damaged. On numberous occassions I attempted to contact Gary. No calls were ever returned. I filled two reports with dispute resolution companies who also did not receive a response from Gary. I strongly recommend doing additional research on this business before hiring them.
