Gartner's Country Meat Market

Start with a couple pounds of their marinated short ribs. Add some burgers and their hand made German wieners, and you've got the perfect barbecue! Or, you could start with some baby backs, and add a couple steaks or some stuffed chops. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water! I've been going to Gartner's for many years and have NEVER been disappointed. Sometimes it gets crowded because everyone wants their 'Q to be perfect, but the friendly, expert service is worth the wait! And my dog LOVES their double smoked bones! Just say Gartner's, and he shakes his tail! more

Thinking I was getting quality beef all these years, I feel ripped off. I know its not organic, but I expected better quality. Feed lot is not accecptable. To bad they don't change with the times. Too bad. more

We love this place, we are transplants from Michigan and moved out in 1995. We've been loyal customers for years. As a German American and a lover of all things smoked and sausage'd I'm very impressed with their links. Their prices are great, we have a hard time with the Safeway and Fred Meyer's meats they are over processed and lack taste. But find New Seasons and Whole Foods to expensive. Missing how we got meat back in Michigan where there's a local butcher everywhere we find Gartner's the place to go. They carry fresh meat that's raised properly, they are careful stewards of the products they carry and don't skim on the quality, they offset this with lower prices than the high end ""natural food"" market's. It's worth the trek to NoPo, guaranteed. Pros: fresh and cured to perfection more

Needed fresh Pork Tenderloin for recipe. They did not have it. Offered some frozen selection. If I was Fred Meyer that would have been fine but I have higher expectations from Gartner's than this. Friendly and knowledgable staff that educated me on their locally raised beef and pork without the use of hormones and antibiotics. The freshest meat in town cut right in front of your eyes by skilled people that take pride in their work. Absolutely essential for anyone that owns a barbeque because they have the finest cuts of tenderlion, short ribs, pork chops and chicken swimming in their amazing, all natural, secret homemade marinade. Thick, juicy bacon. Stunning beef jerky. Fresh sausage and weiners made in house. If you eat meat and it's not from here, you are paying too much and compromising your standards. Highly recommended!! WHEN I GO WITH MY CHILDREN THEY ALWAYS OFFER A FREE SAMPLE. YOU DON'T GET THIS KIND OF SERVICE VERY OFTERN. IT IS ALWAYS A PLEASURE GOING TO GARTNER'S MEAT MARKET.
