Another Las Vegas SCAM!!!\r \r I called up and told the lady what my problem was after trouble shooting the problem myself. \r \r Guy shows up, looks at tv, and agrees with problem. With already having some info about the problem, wouldn't you think he might bring a part or 2? Not only that but says he has to order it and can fix it for $300. \r \r I told him i found the fan on the computer for $6, he says his price is $50 fro teh fan and another $250 to install it. \r \r Come to find out...the fan only has 2 screws and a quick disconnect plug. \r \r I ordered the fan myself and when I seen it decided to give it a shot myself.\r \r 2 screws and a quick disconnect later (maybe 5 mins tops) problem fixed!!!\r \r Im not even sure this guy can fix a TV, maybe just makes his living off the $25 service charge to come out and look at it! more

Zero Help 8/27/2011

Just terrible. I explained to the technician that the TV had an intermittent issue where the light inside the TV would flicker badly. Unfortunately this was not occurring at the time of arrival. His solution was to change channels. I informed him the issue existed on all inputs with any channel. He just kept on changing channels anyway until he then decided the TV was fine and left, but not without first demanding $25 for not doing a single thing or offering any help or advice. I asked him if it could be the light engine, and he said nothing. Later when I called the company to complain, she said the only thing they could do was hold the TV for awhile to try and determine what went wrong, and that it may be the light engine. Funny how that didn't become a possibility until I mentioned it. I'll try a competitor instead since I have zero faith these people know what they're doing and will probably just order parts on my dime until they stumble upon the right solution. Changing channels for a television with a possible bulb or light engine problem is about as useful as going to a mechanic, telling him your car overheats sometimes, then watching him kick the tires for ten minutes until he declares that everything is fine. more
