This should be called a ""pub"" as the only things Irish about it are that it's walls are adorned with an Irish Flag and it serves Guinness. Otherwise, it lacks any of the distinctive character of an Irish pub. Moreover, on St. Paddy's Day, the ""Irish"" music it has consists of drunken Scotch bagpipers and roving minstrels singing brave, brave Sir Robin songs. more

I love Gallagher's. It's like my Cheers, the bar staff know me and what I drink, the owners occasioanlly stop by to say hello, the regulars all know each other and I always meet somebody new. Maybe it's not as Irish as the Irish Pubs in DC, but if you looking for a nice atmosphere with friendly people, Gallagher's is the place to be. more

Where's the music? 10/23/2004

I've dropped by this pub several times on weekend nights, and I have still never heard Irish music at this so-called ""Irish"" pub. In fact, I haven't heard ANY music at this pub. It's been nearly empty and silent. I cannot comment about the food, because we've never stayed long enough to order--there's an ale house down the street that doesn't feel like a funeral home. Overall, huge disappointment. My husband and I are from DC, and we're HUGE Irish pub fans. This is the worst I have seen. Cons: , Silent, No atmosphere more
