GREAT WOLF LODGE AND RESORT

I love the indoor waterpark concept, and the kids cabins with bunkbeds are awesome, but feel GW really is overpriced. In addition, their room rates change within hours; if you see a rate online or are quoted a room rate on the phone in the morning that can increase by the time you are ready to book a few hours later, and staff will not give you the original rate. Way way overpriced for families. I would recommend going once to experience it but look for mid-week and off-season rates. more

If you like water parks and nice hotels, visit the Great Wolf Lodge. The one I went to was in Scot Run, Pennsylvania. It is especially nice if you have kids. It is a gigantic place with tons of rooms, including quite large family rooms. It has an indoor water park, so you can enjoy that type of thing all year round. There are activities for kids as well as restaurants and spas for the adults. You can not only enjoy what the hotel has to offer, but you are in the Pocono mountains, so there are lots of other attractions in the area, both in winter and summer. MY FAMILY AND I JUST TOOK OUR VACATION IN THE POCONO'S AND THE BEST PART WAS GOING TO GREAT WOLF, WHICH IS AN INDOOR WATER PARK WHICH WAS FUN FOR ALL OF US. THERE WAS NOT ONLY THE WATER PARK BUT A SCAVENGER HUNT OF SORTS CALLED THE MAJI MAGIC QUEST WHICH MY 12 YEAR OLD SON AND I HAD A BLAST DOING TOGETHER. THE GAME ROOM IS HUGE AND AGAIN FOR FOR MY SON, HUSBAND, AND MYSELF. THIS PLACE HAS LOTS TO OFFER AND FUN FOR ALL. THERE IS ALSO AN OUTSIDE POOL AREA TO USE. THERE ARE 10 WATERSLIDES IN ALL. WE CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK. more
