I agree with all the bad reviews GM Electronics sucks. They give you the run around and false information. A bunch of shady hustlers. I brought my girlfriends car in to put a in dash navigation in and told them i needed ipod hook up and bluetooth with it. They gave me a good quote and i specifically asked is there anything eles i needed..The old man said no no once installed eveything will work just turn on your bluetooth from your phone. I come back to pick up the car drive off get home notinh works bluetooth and Ipod. I go back down and say whats going on then one of the sons say o by the way you need to buy the bluetooth set up and the ipod cable..im frustrated so i say ok just install it. so i come back the next day and the installer who did the car is not there. So i come back again then theres a problem with hooking up the bluetooth to the iphone a few hours pass and im getting frustrated the installer is just moping around not knowing what to do so he gives up and just walks away..then the owner comes and trys to work on it. by now im just pissed off so i said you know what ill just leave and cut my losses. This place is run by a bunch of thugs. I needed some parts to install a navigation unit in my car. So, I called them and they said they had the parts in stock. I went to the place to pick up the parts. The sales guy seemed ok. During the transaction he mentioned that they can install the navigation unit in my car for 60.00 including parts. I said cool and made an appointment to come in on Tuesday. I called Monday to confirm the appointment and they said it was all good. So, I arrived on Tuesday after a 17 mile ride in traffic.\r \r I get there and said I had an appointment. No one looked in any book or schedule and they acted like they never knew of the appointment. The one thing I noticed about them at the beginning was they were talking smack to people and seemed emotionally detached. The guy too my keys and asked me where the car was. I told him and he looked at it. He then said, ""you'll need a dash kit, harness and antenna kit"". He then said, ""it will cost you 160.00"". I then informed him I was quoted a price of 60.00 just a few days ago. He then talked to this guy who claimed he was the owner. After mulling around, they told me there's not a kit for my car. I informed them that's not true and I was told by one of your employees that you had it. I know it exists because it saw photos of it and it was being sold on Ebay. Frys said there's a kit too. Well I was calm but upset. I told the owner I had driven a long ways to get this done and he acted as if he could care less. He then kept saying, ""get the kit where you bought the stereo from"". Then said, ""go somewhere else dude"".\r \r He was rude and had a messed up attitude. No one should have to deal with rude shysters like this.\r \r If I could give a place negative stars I would. they have a bunch of kids installing these systems. i got my system installed by them just for the hell of it. from the beginning i was treated like a garbage. they didn't have most of the answers to the questions i asked them that any person with a MECP certificate would know. dont get me wrong it sounds good but that's because its a good system that they didn't make. my advice is to not go to these cheap garages and go to real men that are professionals that do great work that make you feel welcome. Hey folks...I'm the cheapest and pickiest consumer alive. I drove my 99 BMW 740I there asking for advice on how to improve the stereo upgrade that I had installed, and got excellent service with extreme patience from Jeremiah. I had been told by numerous ""experts"" that what GM Electronics accomplished could not be done. Not only did they get the job done, but with an immediate install and way competitive price that produced killer results. Again, I'm usually the last guy to part with my cash happily, but I felt like I got a wonderful value here, very good service, and absolute killer stereo sound as a result. GM Electronics knows their stuff! UPDATE: 12/10/10 I don't get the negative reviews from others. I just purchased my second system for another car, and once again the price was the best on the market, the service was excellent, install perfect, and the end result the best value I could find. For my money I highly recommend G M Pros: Wide variety of products in stock, quick installation. Cons: None that I experienced more
