I have been going to Fusajiro for 2 years now and Shea is my stylist. Its so close to the lindenwood neighborhood and the service is great. Shea does a great job considering my hair is wavy and not the easiest to work with. She also does eyebrows exactly the way I want and I am picky about them. Overall its been a good experience more

I'd been going to this hidden space for over a year and finally was introduced to Tommy. The other stylists are nice, but Tommy and I just hit it off instantly, and now after 2 years I wouldn't even think about letting anyone else touch my hair. I've been putting color on this head for as long as I can remember and never have I been this in love with my blonde locks. The atomosphere at this quaint little salon is relaxed and everyone seems to be easy going and enjoying what they do. more

A good friend recommended I go to Fusajiro and she typically sees Matt. I was apprehensive at first because I had been with my stylist for 5 years now. Well I had wedding to go to and wanted to look great for it. I had booked an appointment with my stylist and she had to cancel for an emergency. I drove up to Fasajiro and asked if Matt was available, he happened to be on vacation and was introduced to Tommy. Tommy seemed very young and hip and I?m not at all so I was nervous at first. I very quickly realized that he was a very respectful young man and listened to what I wanted. I was so happy that they were able to take a walk in appointment. I will definitely go there again. I drive over half an hour to go to Fusajiro for my haircuts and my son's. Yup, it's worth it. Everyone there is friendly and professional - we get great service. We always get our hair cut by Crystal. She takes her time giving us both great styles. I've also had my eyebrows waxed there, and she does a nice job on them also. The other stylists all seem very nice, as well. It's a pleasant place to be. I always feel very pampered. We are offered beverages, and my son gets a goodie bag. And we both leave looking fab-u-lous! More little perks - comfy chairs to sit and hang out while my son gets his hair cut, and great smelling candles in the lobby and the restroom. Stephanie cuts my hair. It looks great. I can sit in the chair and say ""surprise me"" and it always looks fabulous. When I bring in a photo of what I want, its dead on. On the one occasion that I wasn't happy with something, I went back and she cheerfully made the alterations. All I can say is wow! I've lived in St. Louis for a little over two years and had yet to find a salon where anyone would remember my face let alone listen to my concerns about my hair. A girlfriend of mine recommended Fusajiro so I took her up on her suggestion and I'm so thankful I did! The moment I walked in the door I was greeted promptly and offered a beverage. Every stylist stopped by with smiles to say hello to me and then I was introduced to Tommy. What was different about Tommy is that he listened carefully to what I had to say without interuption, gave me a fabulous shampoo & neck massage, and delivered the best service I've ever experienced. Fusajiro is a lovely salon that takes care of you from the time you walk in until you leave. My experience with this establishment prompted me to write my first review ever.They gave me what I wanted and I've never been surprised when the bill came. I went to a premium salon by my home when I first moved to St. Louis and would never return, I know the difference between good and bad service. I've been going to Fusajiro ever since. I found them on the net. I've been going to Shay and her ability with colour and cut are super. I just love their colour. I live in the Clayton area which I understand is a Mecca for hair. I just recently moved to St. Louis and have been looking for a salon to go to. My coworker recommended me to see Mandy at Fusajiro, I made an appointment and was happy to find that they were open later hours during the week so i could come in after work. The staff at fusajiro was so friendly and welcoming! I really loved the environment, and over-all feel of the salon. Mandy listened to everything i had to say and really made me feel comfortable. I left with gorgeous blonde high lights and a great hair cut, all for a reasonable price! I highly recommend Mandy, she's young and edgy but will do everything she can to make you happy! She also gives an AWESOME shampoo! more

If you are looking for a salon that stylists willingly listen to your description of the hair style you want, the hair style you are planning to let your hair ""grow"" into, and give you honest and objective comments of a style that will enhance your facial features and skin color, this is the salon for you! After describing the hair style I thought I was wanting my hair to ""grow"" into, Denise (my stylist) gave me a style that would look great while I was letting my hair grow longer. I absolutely loved the ""interim"" style that she put me into. I'm even thinking about keeping this style instead of letting it grow longer. Additionally, I discussed with Denise the possibility of having my hair colored or highlighted. She immediately informed me that Matt, the owner and a stylist himself, was the expert when it comes to hair color. I loved her honesty. Matt immediately came to Denise's station. After looking at my complexion, skin coloring, and features he recommended that coloring my hair would be the better option, and immediately knew what color (with color highlights) would bring out my best features. I agreed to his recommendation. Denise did a wonderful job. I love the results. I've had so many complements! The salon is very clean, warm, and everyone is very receptive. Patrice is an excellant Hair Stylist, and a God with color.. Take her advice - she can visualize the best look for you and your lifestyle. The salon is very vogue and uplifting. Matt Ema has been my hair stylist for about 20 years; I trusted only him to style my hair for my wedding. I am from St. Louis, but I have lived in Europe for over 8 years and currently live on Long Island, New York. I have been in many salons in several countries. My hair has been cut, styled and colored by stylists in France, Luxembourg, Germany as well as several cities in the United States. I can state without a doubt that Matt is the best. He really cares about his clients and strives to create the perfect style to suit various life styles and fashion senses. His professionalism is evident even in the comfortable, relaxed atmosphere of Fusajiro. If a problem should arise, he will do his utmost to assure his client?s satisfaction. For years I used to drive from South County to Clayton for my hair cut and color. I went to Fusajiro because of a friend. She told me she goes to Matt or Steph and raves about them both. I have been to both of them so far and I love it so much. You get treated like a real person not just another client when you walk in the door. Why I am really writing is how happy I was with the service I received a couple of days before Christmas. I knew it was a long shot to see if I could get in but I totally forgot to make my holiday appointment (I travel so much with work). Matt was totally booked up and offered to come in early for me but it was a little TOO early for me, ha! Steph ended up coming in early for me and I was so happy. I got great service in a wonderful environment. I know for a fact that my stylist in Clayton would have NEVER even thought about doing that and Matt and Steph both offered. That is what I call going above and beyond! They have me for life! more

I just moved to St. Louis from Los Angeles and I couldn't find a salon that uses Schwartkoph(SP). I called around and I finally found Fusajiro. To my suprise not only does it use the only color line I allow on my hair their other services are great too. Of coarse the prices are a lot beter than I'm used to paying and the place is great ( friendly and nice). I've never been to a salon that I didn't notice any sales pressure. I decided to try Fusajiro since it's in the neighborhood and I like supporting local businesses. My first appointment went well, even though Stephanie (the person who cut my hair) was running 20 minutes late. I was very happy with my reasonably priced haircut and liked the cute salon and the lack of pressure to purchase shampoo, conditioner, etc. As I was paying, I went ahead and booked another appointment with Stephanie 3 months later. since i moved here a couple years ago i've scoured the city for a new salon to go to and now this is the only place i trust to take my hair. its a small but nicely furnished and lovely facility and a totally relaxed environment. i also like that its in a sort of residential area so its easy to get to. prices are also very reasonable compared to other salons in st louis that will charge you a ridiculous amount for just a haircut with even their most unqualified stylists. definitely make an appointment with Jordana if you decide to stop in for a cut or color. she's the best and cute as a button. =] Pros: small, and comfortable place; low key & relaxed, reasonable prices Cons: ?? more

I have finally found a great salon that provides reliable, efficient, budget-friendly, quality services. The staff is incredibly nice and very accomadating.
