I took my teen aged son, who rarely goes to the Dr. to see Dr. Derryl. We thought we may switch to Fuquay Varina Family Practice since it is closer to where we currently live and I have seen Jennifer a PA a couple of times and loved her. I must say I haven't had a paid professional adult with such a condescending attitude. I got the impression that he has carried the same punk smirk since middle school days and does not realize that is not how mature people act. He was impatient and uncaring and we were in there very briefly for a minor thing. Its sad that he still thinks the world revolves around him. more

I've been a patient at this practice for five years and have experienced good and bad. I started with Dr. Darrell and was not satisfied. I saw Stacey Hepert who is a Physicians Assistant I found her to be excellent. I've also seen Jennifer who is a Physicians Assistant and she is excellent. I say it's a shame because overall the practice isn't run very well. There are times when you will receive a prompt response to your needs an other times when you won't be able to speak to anyone. I've found office visits to be efficient, but if you need to accomplish something over the phone or drop off and pick up some paperwork it is always frustrating. I've been treated in a rude manor by office staff more times than not and I've finally had enough of that, so I'm looking to find a new doctor. It's a shame because Stacey and Jennifer are excellent, but they are overshadowed by a poorly run office. more

I have been going to Fuquay Family Practice for about 2 years now. I love the doctors and staff. I have seen both Dr. Devente and Dr. Darrell. I would highly recommend this office!\r \r The wait times are minimal and the service is exceptional. I have never waited more than 15 minutes in the waiting room. I have never waited more than 10 minutes in the exam room. The doctors and nurses provide full attention and do not make me feel rushed. more

All you have to do is call and get the voice mail to get a general idea of how little impressions matter to this practice. ""IF this is a life threatening emergency don't call us call 911. Otherwise call back later and don't leave a message (because we sure as heck are not going to call you back)!"" It doesn't get much better in person. So is this the way you want to be treated by your health care professional? Unfortunately ""rude"" is a very acceptable culture for these ladys. Sad, sad, sad... I have found the staff to be courteous and Dr. DeVente to be patient and right on the money. We love him. Pros: always on time, have been able to get same day appointments more

Staff is very unprofessional and you have to wait weeks sometimes even months for lab/test results. They do not take patient concerns seriously and brush them off. Will not look into the possiblity of patient needing further test to determine problem. Very unreliable in medical ability in my opinion. Please steer clear!!!!!!!
