Fung Wong is another landmark on the Asian filled 8th Avenue in Brooklyn. I grew up around this area before I moved a couple of years ago. Fung Wong is a place my family often went for groceries. They offer a wide array of fresh seafood and meats at affordable prices. The store can be a bit chaotic at times with people screaming and shoving. It is definitely an experience. It can also be a bit dirty but keep in mind that this is a fish and meat market. I definitely wouldn't recommend wearing flip flips when you go. They also have nice fresh vegetables for sail outside if you don't mind buying it outside on the street. The place is so crowded that they have to have stands right outside the store to hold the vegetables. They also hold many of the Asian essentials for cooking. Their stuff is really cheap so the hassle is well worth it.
