Can't give these guys enough praise... Every one of them knew exactly what they were doing, answered every question I had, explained what was being done, did their best to get us back online and treated us exceptionally well... Not once did I get the feeling they were doing any less than trying to do the best they could at the lowest possible cost to me... Jim was straight-forward from the beginning and never once misleading or vague... Not once did I mind having them around... GREAT group of people (almost said guys, but there was a woman here, as well)... If it matters, this was a MAJOR job involving digging up the street, down 11 feet into the ground, cutting and replacing lines, etc., and ended with my wife baking them a couple dozen cookies... LOL... I will never call anyone else to handle our plumbing needs and I hope this helps anyone looking for a good, honest plumbing company... more

I had a wonderful experience with Frew this past March/April. We were in the middle of a mess with another company that claimed we needed a $7,000+ pipe reconstruction. I called Frew for a second opinion and thank goodness I did! First the owner, Jim Frew, came to our home to look at our situation and offer his advice. He sent his technician, Bill, to our house to send a camera down our pipes. Basically, Frew saved us AT LEAST $7,000 and disproved everything the terrible first company had told us. Bill was completely thorough and sent the camera down each pipe and showed that our pipes were in NO need of reconstruction, and offered his advice for simple, routine maintenance on our pipes. Honest, and then Jim was ever so helpful in my confronting the other company about their business practices. let me add, Jim gave me an estimate for the same reconstruction Co. #1 insisted we needed, just to curb my curiousity, and it was about $2600 less (he was unaware of bid #1). I love Frew and I appreciate everything they did for us throughout this whole mess! Jim took a lot of time with me, and it was very clear that he cared about the treatment we received. A seviceman replaced a flapper in the toilet tank , charging $103, replaced a filler valve in the same toilet tank for $196 and a shutoff valve for the toilet tank, charging $275. The invoice did not show what the parts cost were, but I estimate them to be less than $20 all combined. The man spent less than two hours there, and some of that time he spent trying to sell a service contract for $1296. These charges are far too high, I will never deal with the company again. more
