Frank Donnino Photography

Frank takes some good pictures, but I don't think that he's worth the money he charges. I think I remember him taking 35mm photos rather than digitals, but either way, you're left feeling that something's not right. I'm used to photographers taking a lot of different shots to make sure there will be a few that I'd like, but not Frank. I think for the whole portrait sitting he only took two rolls--that was for the entire family together, my parents together and seperately, both my sisters' families, and me alone (sad, but true). I think I had to pay $12 for a 5 by 7 and I'm not even happy with it....I look like I'm constipated or something. Not natural at all, and I don't shy away from the camera! It's a good thing the family portrait turned out well. more

We went to Frank several years ago for a big family photo. My mom really wanted to get a photo of the clan before anyone died so I arranged it. I called around and talked to a few different places, but ended up going with Frank. I'm not sure why. This guy is a smooth talker. He has a way of making you feel bad if you challenge the fact that his prices are quite high. I found out AFTER THE FACT, that had I gone with one of the photographers that a few friends of mine used, I could have spent WAY less AND I would have been able to keep the negatives. I have to say, though, if you have the money, he does take lovely photos. But is it better than the next person?... not sure. more
