No business being a vet ?????\r *PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS VET DR CHOI KILLED MY DOG!!* \r I took my 12 year old female Akita here to have surgery everything went fine but then 1 month later the inciision wound started to bleed!! and my dog was feeling really ill! i took her back to the vet only to have Dr. Choi look at her really quick and send me home with some iodine to clean the wound i asked him to give me pain pils for her but he said no! she is not in any pain! when cleanly she was but he didn't every look at her long enough to notice he was too much in a hurry and uncaring! so i went home cleaned her wound which was still continuing to bleed and the next day she only got worse! i knew something was wrong so i took her to the emergency and they said she was in alot of pain and that she had a possible staff infection from the sugery! and her whole incision area and left back leg was swollen! how could Dr. choi have not noticed that oh wait! he didn't even take the time to look at her good enough! anyhow the emergency injected her with a antibiotic shot and send me home with some pain pills and antibiotic pills! so i went home with her this wason a saturday and over the weekend she didn't get any better! so i went back to Francis Animal hospital on monday to confront Dr. choi only to be told he was not there and out on vacation out of the country! so a vet that was felling in looked at her but didn't tell me much more then when the last time i went there they told me to just continue cleaning it and come back in 5 days! well i continued to clean her and give her her pills but 2 days went by and she got really bad!! i called the francis animal hospital to tell them but they said there was no vet to see my dog that day since dr. Choi was still out on vacation really!! well i had to take her back to the emergency where they did a exray and found that her stomach was bloated and would require surgery that would cost $3800 which i did not have and they said there was no guarantee that it wouldn't happen again because the infection from the surgery caused it! and it would cause it again! so they said the only other option was for me to but her down! other wise she would die in pain! so i lost me beloved Akita of 12 years all because dr. choi's malpractice! and based on all the other reviews it looks like he has done it to other animals too! i wish i would have looked at the reviews before i took my dog here! \r *THIS MAN HAS NO BUSINESS BEING A VET!!* more

I wish I had read the unsatisfactory Reviews before I took my cat to this vet:\r \r I told the Receptionist on the phone I was disabled and on Social Security. Money is a problem but my cat is ill and needs help. I was told not one procedure would be done without giving me the cost and my decision to do it or not.\r \r The vet IS rude, mumbles in English-as-a-2nd-language, made me hold my pet while the staff stood by and he handled my sick cat roughly. It took him 3 tries to take blood and he never apologized for his first 2 mis-tries. He jammed meds down my cat's throat and injected him before giving me a chance to even ask what he was giving him let alone the price.\r \r Then the front desk told me I owed $270. WHAT!?!! When was my chance to say yeah or nay? When was the cost explained before issuing? $270 for a blood test, an injected drug and 3 meds to administer at home?? "Oh, sorry about that. We usually do give the cost first." Just didn't do it for me. I wish that money had no in more

All I came in for were rabies shots for my lab and rat terrier and was very dissatisfied. This guy was so rude! He has no people skills whatsoever and is not gentle or caring for the animals at all. He got mad at me for not holding the dogs down right then just stabbed them with the needle. I mean I know "they are just dogs" but still. He also kept yelling at my sister to move the dog and got mad at me when I said I didn't have money for another shot he was trying to push me to get for them. After stabbing in the needles he just walked away without a word. Will never come back again. more

I actually liked this vet and found him to be very knowledgable. On the other hand the vet techs were lazy and didn't know what they were doing. I have a mastiff when I brought my dog into the room the VT didn't even go there to help the Vet. I had to hold my dog and help the Vet. So sad that former employees who are not bitter say spiteful things. Also if you're unsure of what procedures are being done ask questions before you let treatment continue! more

I have taken my 3 Dachshunds there for over four years now. I was recommended to go there by the breeder's of my second dog. Thank God none of my dogs have gotten sick from there. But every time I've been there he doesn't explain what hes doing and you can't understand him because he acts rude and he mumbles. One of the nurses had to explain to me the procedure I was getting for my dog because he walked away before I could ask anything. I have seen him fight with his nurses and most importantly fight with a customer! He has cheap prices (that he does) but money is not an issue when it comes to my pets health. Thank You for your reviews because I realized I wasn't the only one! more

I have taken Gracie (miniature schnauzer) to this vet for three years and she has been in good health ever since. I have trusted him ever since he recommended at no charge to my girlfriend to return her first chihuahua since it had a birth defect that gave it poor movement coordination and poor vision. From what I understand he has been a vet for more than 20 years and I feel that his experience has saved us from the trouble of taking care of a sick dog. more

I took my puppy in for second set of the 5 in 1 shot. it looked like the dr recognized most of the pets there but when he saw a new puppy he asked for his record right away. he then insisted that the puppy needed deworming and about 3 other vaccines. i clearly explained to the receptionist that i only wanted the one vaccine. once inside the exam room the vet administered 2 shots in my puppy. when i went to pay they were charging me for the other vaccines that i did not want and then stated that the dr misunderstood and my puppy got 3 vaccines which i was forced to pay for.... more

This vet is the worst ever, he does not care for the animals, he also does not care for his employees. He needs to retire, and get out of the animal business. I have seen many animals die in his care one 's that should not have. he may have cheap prices but it's not worth it if you love your pets. He would use dirty surgical instruments dog after dog or cat after cat, and also use the same one use needles, for shots. so many animals would come back with bad infections. and it would cost the owners more money to treat the infections. so please if you love your pets, find another vet to go too. more

I (having once worked there) DO NOT recommend this hospital for owners who want the best treatment for their pet; unless your main concern is the "cheap" pricing. I have seen him act rough on the animals and misdiagnose too many times. (proof would be the writer below). He is rude to the clients, careless towards the animals; and no matter how often the girls and i would remind him of his wrongdoings, he would argue that he's been there "25-30" years and that he is "a doctor" (...not a strong defense!)\r He is too focused on how much money he wants to make rather than properly treating a dog/ cat-- sometimes i believe he misdiagnoses so that a client must return.\r take it from someone who's been 'behind-the-scenes'. i am simply suggesting to you owners for the health of your pets. more

i experienced the worst situation with this vet in result of costly medications and after the 4th treatment of 6 my dog died. before treating my dog this vet does not explain any type of side affects the dog could have. he just tells you and does not even have you sign anything authorizing the work then you have no knowledge of anything but just a costly bill. i will never return to this vet and highly recommend you not to put your trust in them. he killed my dog!! more

Ever since I was a little girl my mother has taken our pets to Franc's Animal Hospital and now I take my pets there too. They are so nice to the animals and very well priced. Of course the animals are scared when the arrive, but what animal likes going to the vet. Even though they are scared, I feel like they are in good hands with the doctor and nurses there. Everyone there has worked there for years and that to me is a good sign. No matter what, I will bring my animals back to Franc's Animal Hospital. more
