Wow! We just got back from an outstanding 4th of July weekend. We were passing through Bloomington and luckily wound up at the resort. The facility is beautifuly landscaped and even has a gazeebo overlooking a waterfall. My girls an I rented a practically brand-new pontoon boat for the day and the little boat rental store even had a tube for us to pull the girls behind. The pool was also great and you can swim between the indoor and outdoor parts if you want some shade or sun. more

Were we ever impressed 7/19/2011

We stayed here a few years ago and we were anything but impressed. We decided this July to give it another chance on the recommendation of friends. WOW ! were we ever impressed ! They have done a great job with the upgrades, the staff, the level of service blew us away ! The manager Paul, took us around and showed us the tons of improvements. His lovely wife Kathy also warmly greeted us and we wanted for nothing. If you have not visited here recently you need to check it out again. more

Most relaxing experience 7/14/2011

This hotel is, with respect to Indiana, one of a kind. It is a lake-side hotel. The grounds are beautifully kept; they must pay the landscapers a LOT! The front desk staff was nice and helpful. The bar staff was friendly and extremely fun more

Great lake views 7/8/2011

The lakeside rooms have great lake views with decks or patios complete with picnic tables outside your door. Minutes away from Indiana University with restaurants of every kind and great culture, the Fourwinds is ideally located. If you're ready to slow down and be treated as a special guest, you won't be dissapointed. more

Friendly staff 7/6/2011

Given the price, location, and most friendly staff, I couldn't be more pleased. If you are looking for a laid-back, resort style atmosphere, this might be just what you're looking for. The kitchen might be a little slow, but the entire atmosphere is like the islands. Take your time here, and you will have a ball. Miniture golf, basketball, jacuzzi, indoor/outdoor pool, lounge, , restaurant, beautiful grounds make for a great relaxing time. The rental dock is just outside the door and has absolutely anything you can want available for a great day on beautiful Lake Monroe. more

Lovely landscaping. Helpful staff. Bartenders who know what they're doing. Unusual, yet tasty carribean inspired cuisine. I'm going back next week! more

Wonderfully located 6/30/2011

My daughter & I stayed at the Fourwinds for 4 nights. It is wonderfully located halfway between Bloomington and Bedford. Very convenient for us since we were travelling back and forth between the two cities. The Resort was very festive, clean, and alot of activities to do. We didn't have enough time to participate in everything but it was one of the most pleasurable stays I've ever had. more

I love Fourwinds I have been coming here since I was a child 6/9/2011

The staff is always so friendly and fun, not to mention always willing to go above and beyond. I have recently gotten wind that they are indeed updating there rooms and have a new management team in place. It is the ideal place for a family to get away for the weekend and not take a huge blow to the wallet. They have wonderful ameneties like, indoor outdoor pool, private beach, resturant, bar, boat rentals, slips leasing marina service, hotel, live music on the weekends...and tons of fun!! I highly recommend this place for your summer time get aways...I also found out they will now be opening year round more

Fourwinds boat rentals is the way to go 6/1/2011

Best in Bloomington. Although not cheap to rent it is well worth the money if you want to avoid the costs of owning your own boat. We rent from here all the time and we are impressed always with the boats and especially the staff. more
