Four Seasons Heating, Air Conditioning, Plumbing, & Electric

We had our furnace stop working in April and we called Four Seasons to take a look at it since we purchased it from them about 5 years ago and we get our scheduled cleanings done through them as well. The service tech was really nice and called about 20 minutes before he arrived. He wore shoe covers so as not to get my floors dirty, which I thought was considerate. Eventually, he diagnosed a bad blower motor and when I asked him what the damage would be to replace it he asked to see my contract. Luckily the wife files everything away and I was able to find it and he said that we were covered for parts and labor and since we had kept up with our cleanings the motor would be replaced under warranty. The tech had the part in stock in his van and it took him a little over an hour to fix the furnace. I felt bad as there wasn't much room for him to work but he said that he commented about having worked in smaller spaces before. more

I just had my first A/C check and the service tech that came out was great. William answered all my questions and was really friendly. I received a follow up call from a customer service rep to make sure everything was to my satisfaction, and it was. Based on my experience, I would recommend Four Seasons to my family and friends. more

Four Seasons is fantastic! I had a new furnace and A/C installed, along with attic insulation and must say my house feels totally different now. I told the salesman that my house has always been uncomfortable in the summer and winter seasons (for over 10 years) and he promised me comfort, and so far he has delivered! Every room is nice and cool now and I don't have to hang out in the basement to try and keep cool. It took a day for everything to get installed and the crew was very nice and professional. They left the place clean and explained how to use the new thermostat. I am extremely happy customer and look forward to seeing how comfortable my house will be in the coldest of winter days. more

My basement was recently flooded (gotta love Chicago storms) and the furnace had to be replaced. A friend had recommended Four Seasons and I'm glad I went with them. Everyone from the customer service representative I first spoke to, to the installers that came to install the new furnace were sympathetic toward my situation. The install went smoothly and I received a follow up call asking about the installation which I think is a really good idea because it shows that the company cares about what they do. They have a referral incentive too, which I would easily partake in if I ever knew anyone in need of a new furnace or a/c unit. more

hmmmmmmmm ten year warranty for the heating and air system Four Seasons Co.is a scam.I purchased the heating and air system from them ,and was told that that to keep the warranty in good standing i had to have a yearly check and service every year.Which i paid 89.95 a yr.When i called them because my air cond went out.they sent a service tech out.As soon as he arrived he stated that the warranty was void due to me not having my air cond serviced every year.I stated that i had it serviced yearly .he stated that no i just had the heating system serviced yearly.So he said that i had to pay 85.00 pluc 249.00 for a system check .Plus what ever was wrong i would be billed for.I asked him so i paid 89.95 for a half inspected service call for the past three years.He stated it is what it is.He then started packing his tools and proceeded to leave .i asked him what was wrong with my air cond he stated i needed to call customer service in the morning and coulded help me further.I called customer service in the morning at which time they told me the it would now cost me 85.00 for a service call and 89.95 for a new warranty.I then asked the customer service rep did they have any intention of fixing my air cond system or are they just charging more for service charges.she statedif i wanted it fixed thats what the start charges are.i asked to speak with a manager at which time she stated he would call me in afew minutes.i waited 7 hrs until he called .i was so upset that after waiting 2 hrs i called another heating and air company .i explained the issues i had with four seasons co .At which time the guy stated that four seasons had a history of not honoring thier warranty work and to look up thier history on the internet.I was shocked when i looked up how many complaints four sesaons co had against them.When the manager did finally calledback from four seasons co .7 hrs later.I told him that i had someone else repairing my air cond.He told me he was sorry and that if i wanted to renew my warranty for the air cond it would be 89.95.i felt so insulted that i told him that i didnt want his company ever again at my house .Dont believe anything this company trys to sell you . more

I recently bought an older house that is a fixer-upper and the furnace needed more than major TLC. After shopping around I decided on going with Four Seasons to get it replaced. I was told by the previous owner that the furnace was more than 18 years old so I figured a new one would be a good idea since they're more energy efficient. I decided on a higher end Lennox unit because it qualified for a tax credit. more

We just had a new Lennox furnace installed by Four Seasons and I wanted to share my fantastic experience. Our old furnace was 22 years old and has been repaired twice for separate issues in the past so we opted to get it replaced this time because there was a problem with the heat exchanger. From the first service call we put in to get the old furnace looked at, to the crew who installed the new furnace, the level of service was exceptional and it's quite a change from what we've become accustomed to in the service industry. Everyone was professional, thorough, and good at what they did. We'll be recommending Four Seasons to family and friends alike! more

We recently had a new furnace and attic insulation installed. I was a little concerned on the day of installation because I was at work and only my wife was home. No worries though, as my wife informed me that the crew was prompt and professional and explained everything they were doing in simple terms she could understand. When I got home I was blown away by how much work the furnace installers put into the install--like it was their own home they were working in. more

We had Four Seasons come out and look at our furnace on 3/23. The technician's name was Justin and he seemed very knowledgeable and friendly. He quickly discovered that the flame sensor was dirty and cleaned it. He also noticed that we had some spray paint in the room next to our furnace (my wife is into art and uses spray paint in some of her work) and said it was possible the spray paint caused the flame sensor to get dirty. He advised my wife to not spray near the furnace (she only does this during the winter time) to help keep the sensor from getting dirty unnecessarily. more

My mom had her furnace replaced last week by Four Seasons and although I have no other furnace-replacing experiences to compare it to, I'd say things went great. I was not present when the salesman discussed the furnace to with mom, but she did tell me all the specifics of the conversation and after doing some research online, the furnace she got looks to be sized correctly for her house and she got a good price. I was around for the installation (which took about 6 hours!) because my mom had to work. The installers were really nice and explained what they were going to do and didn't seem to be bothered by some of my dumb questions. The work area looked like a small bomb had exploded after removal of the old system, but after the install was done, the area was left nice and clean. My mom came home just before the installers were done and went over the operation of the new thermostat they installed. more

I was looking for a new energy saving furnace and water tank for our new home in Oak Park .I had four estimates and had a list of questions on what and who I wanted .I was surprised how down and dirty the Heating and Cooling companies can be to each other .I had 3 of the companies bash the company I decided to go with they said no good check the BBB that they had a lot of complaints I checked and the BBB gave them a grade of A + .The next thing they said was that they changed the name of the company etc well I work for the state of IL and I looked them up no name changes no bankruptcy .I was just amazed by the stories that I was told and the fact that they would think that I would just be stupid enough to just take their word and not reaserch it was a insult .I thru out the quotes from those 3 places and it was down to Four Seasons Heating and Polar heating the man from Four Seasons just did a better job then Elmer from polar when it came time to explain the system Elmer was a better sales guy but Four Seasons man Dave had more experience .The price from Four Seasons was higher but I was more comfortable with them .The install went perfect no issues and the service so far has been great . more

I just arrived home after a nic trip to Aruba the weather was 88 and sunny every day .I was so cold when I got off the plane that I almost forgot that I had parked my car in the extended stay lot .I found my car brushed off the snow and ice and headed home .I jumped out of the car grabed my bags and went inside .The house was like 45 inside and I was going to die I had just left paradise to come home to a refrigirator .I checked the thermostat to see what the temp was that I had set it to and it was 70 but I had no heat .I checked the furnace nothing the filter was clear and it all looked ok .I went on line and found Four Seasons the lady was super nice and they had a tech at my home in two hours .A bird had feel from the chimmney and was stuck in my furnace he cleaned it out and the heat worked .I was very glad that he was honest and that he didnt try to sell me a part or something I was charged $79 for the call and he was on his way .I feel that the company was honest and did exactley what needed to be done for all my future furnace and heating cooling needs Four Seasons Heating is my company . more

When our furnace stopped working during sub-zero weather, we called Four Seasons. They sent someone out immediately, and the tech politely told us that we probably needed a new furnace. He consulted with his supervisor, who concurred. He removed what he called a ""hard to replace"" part, and we set up the installation appointment. more

I had the furnace break on the coldest day of the year and needed someone to repair it fast I had used Four Seasons a few months ago to fix the basement furnace and they did a great job .I was a little concerned how much it would cost to have a guy come out on a sunday but the office told me no extra charge for nights or weekends so I was happy with that .I was surprised how fast he arrived and in less then one hour my furnace was repaired and up and running . more

Was slammed by the winter weather. Should have seen it coming but holy cow things got cold fast around here. I noticed the house was feeling a bit chilly and figured the highwinds were just making the house draftier then normal. Went to bed, but when I woke up around 3 am it was down to 40 degrees in the house and the furnace was just blowing cold air. Called Four Seasons, they had someone at my house in about an hour of my call and got things working pretty quickly after they arrived. The kicker of all of it. They didn't charge extra for the call being ""after hours"" and the tech suggested I call in for an energy efficiency consolation or something as they have people that can help me fix the draft issue as well. Will be checking them out on that front as well, but first experience leaves me VERY impressed. more

Trying out city search, so doing the initial brain storm of companies good and bad, this one has stuck with me since this last winter. I woke up Sunday morning with sub 10 degree temperatures and my condo sitting in the 50's despite the thermostat showing 72 and the furnace is just blowing cold air. I called Four Seasons, they got a technician to my home in just over an hour. In about 45 minutes he identifies the issue. I am forgetting what the exact problem was, but the repair costs were 1/3rd of the way to a new unit and my furnace was about 18 years old. I opted to replace and they got the new unit to my home and installed same day. (granted they were there till 10pm that night) Even through in a new programmable thermostat for free. Pros: No extra charge for after hours or weekends, profesional Cons: got nothing more
