Perfect for our four legged friends 7/4/2009

Four Paws and a Leash is such a wonderful place for dogs to go and play while you are either away for a day or several. Dennis takes the best care of my Diesel, a french bulldog. She is always very excited to go and is always happy when I get her back, tired but happy. She is only tired because she has such a wonderful time. She is either picked up and dropped off at my home or I can drop her off and pick her up, whatever is most convenient for me. Being a frenchie she has special requirements to not over heat and has a sensitive tummy by nature. She has never had any problems staying at Four Paws and a Leash. Diesel is always a happy puppy. It is a wonderful place for your favorite pet to stay.... Thank you for always loving her almost as much as I do.... Pros: Best time for my Diesel more

Services Beyond the Leash ... 9/15/2008

I have used this company since it started. I travel a lot and need to have Mario walked on short stays and boarded when I go on my long trips. I like how Mario has interactions with his friends when he stays there. There have been times I needed help in a pinch (last minute travel plans) and they have accommodated my last minute requests every time. I would recommend without hesitation.... as would Mario :) Pros: Attentive, Accomodating, Pick-up service, Helps me with last minute requests. Cons: Frequency of newsletter with helpful tips can be increased. more

Far Beyond just dog walkers, and more like family. 6/17/2008

I wanted to take this opportunity to tell everyone about the great service that Four Paws And A Leash provided us with for the last 3 years. Knowing that Cooper was always in good hands made it easier to Pros: personable, caring, attentive, reliable, helpful, able to help last minute all the time Cons: none more

Something is really wrong with this place 5/27/2008

We boarded our two dogs at Four Paws and a Leash a couple of times. We will never use this service again. We recently dropped the dogs off on a Friday and picked them up on Sunday. Since we did not know exactly what time we would be back in town on Sunday, the owner of Four Paws instructed me to call him 30 minutes in advance. I called multiple times with no answer. I then walked up the steps to the front door, called again, and still no answer. I rang the doorbell, with no answer. Then I received a call on my cell phone from the owner, but no one was there when I answered my phone. Finally, he came to the door in his pajamas and said that he hadn't gotten out of bed yet. It was FOUR in the afternoon. There was no one else in the house. There were multiple dogs barricaded in the living room with the window shades down. Most of the dogs, including one of ours, were wearing bark collars. We did not supply the owner with this collar and under no circumstances permitted him to put this on our dog. There were a few bone-dry water dishes in the room. Feces were scattered about. As if it couldn't get worse, he could not find one of our dogs' harnesses and said that he had last seen it yesterday.....ie. the dogs had not been walked in at least 24 hours. When I finally brought my dogs home, they drank literally gallons of water because they clearly had not had anything to drink all day. This place is horrible. I feel terrible about leaving my dogs there, and I hope that this review will save other animals from being tortured by Four Paws. Pros: None Cons: Lack of water, filthy environment, bark collars without permission more

Most reliable dog walking service 2/25/2008

We have been using 4paws for 3 years now for our 8 year old dog. We love the service, they are very reliable, care for your pets and trustworthy. Our dog has a scheduled walk 1-2 days a week. The same walker Chris came and left notes for us on how our dog was, who he walked with and anything we should be concerned with. Pros: walkers enjoy their job, and love the animals, great value for walks more

The only place I'll leave my dog! 10/3/2007

I have never written a review before, but Four Paws and a Leash deserves the praise and my unconditional recommendation. I was first referred to Four Paws and a Leash by my vet's office for training for my hyperactive, independent pup. The training was great and now I also have the best place to board my little guy! I no longer feel guilty about leaving him when I have to go away because I know he won't be locked up in a crate with no one around all night long. I don't have to worry about whether he's happy or getting enough exercise. I know he's getting great care and attention. And it's the only place he's ever come home from tired out and wanting to sleep. Dennis and company have been accommodating and understanding -even on short notice in an emergency. You can't do better for you or your dog! Pros: Caring, knowledgeable, trustworthy, helpful Cons: None more

My dog might just prefer boarding than home!!! 9/13/2007

I am an extremely over protective dog owner, and when my dog stays with 4 Paws I don't worry about her, period. She has the time of her life there, and sleeps hard when returning home. She gets the royal treatment and often times hangs in the office with them. In fact, when picking her up, she never looks back and charges straight towards the car...breaks a mom's heart!!! They are also extremely flexible. Occasionally I need last minute dog walking or day care, and they always accomodate. I can't recommend them enough!!!! more

Excellent Pet Sitting (Cat) 6/14/2007

I was an overly nervous pet owner when I left my cat for the week. Before this experience, I had only left him with people I knew- this was the first time I left his care to a stranger. I looked on city search and found particularly positive reviews for Four Paws and a Leash. After I met and spoke to Dennis, I felt very comfortable with leaving him with my cat (and my keys). Pros: trustworthy, reasonably priced, dependable Cons: none that i came across more

Great customer service 5/15/2007

The first time I used Dennis's cat sitting service I was quite displeased. We have given him a second and third chance to correct the original problems and I have been really thrilled with the change in service. Pros: Great communication more

Wonderful Care of your Dog 8/9/2006

We are so crazy about Four Paws - they have been nothing but wonderful to our dog Cooper! They have been a part of his life from when he was just a baby thru private training sessions and helped two more

Best Dog Walking & Pet Sitting Service 8/7/2006

I can't say enough about my experiences with Four Paws And A Leash. I have been using Dennis (and Chris) since I brought my dog home, for Dog Walking and Pet Sitting. Cooper, my 2 year-old, is just as happy when he goes to "camp" at Dennis' or for walks with Chris as he is at home or with me. It's comforting to know that everyone at Four Paws & A Leash treats all of the animals they care for as if they were their own. I would recommend them to anyone in the Boston area, especially if you, like me, consider your pet your "baby." Pros: Reliability, Experience, Enthusiasm Cons: N/A more

Best Pet Sitter. PERIOD! 8/5/2006

I moved into Boston in June of 2005 and spent a month interviewing and researching pet sitters for my dog Sligo (I spoke with all of them servicing the Boston area!). After speaking with Dennis Saccoach who is the owner of Four Paws and a Leash, it was clear I had found the best. Dennis and his staff are true pet lovers which was the most important thing for me. Additionally, he was willing and flexible to work with my schedule. Dennis and his staff are top notch and I trust them implicitly to take care of Sligo and I highly recommend his services to anyone. Pros: Trustworthy, professional, experts Cons: None more

Best Pet Service Anywhere!! Wouldn't trust anyone else with my dog!!! 7/31/2006

I cannot say enough positive things about Four Paws and A Leash! They have been a part of my dogs life since we first brought him home as a puppy. We started using them for daily walks and it quickly progressed to overnights when we were traveling or on vacation, obedience classes and one on one training. They have also been a constant resource when I have questions or concerns about my dogs health, behavior or training. I am one of those crazy people who treats my dog like a child and I have 100% trust in them. They are reliable, dependable, knowledgeable, professional and above all dog lovers! As an example, my yellow lab gets walked every day. It is going to be very hot today, so they just called and said that they would be taking him swimming instead of walking!! They are wonderful! Pros: Dependable, Trust worthy, Dog Lovers Cons: I sometimes think my dog loves them more than me ;) more

More than you could ever expect 4/26/2006

They will do about anything to help with the care of your pet. This includes conforming to your schedule however difficult this is. Pros: Good value, Friendly service, Dependable Cons: None more
