If you have never visited a fort with a museum you will enjoy it here. You can see the dungeon were the prisoners were kept. You can see actual artifacts going back to the old gone days of war.
My favorite part is watching them shoot off the guns and cannons that they used back in that day. You can follow a guide and they will describe what transpired with the french and the indians and the americans during the war and it makes the artifacts all that more interesting.
Surprisingly as young as my daughter was when we went she was not all that bored and she has asked to go back. I would not recommend going on a sweltering hot day but it is a sight you will be glad to see. it is an important part of history.
They also have a nice gift shop to get souvoneirs and it was not terribly expensive. There is a miniature golf course associated with them and that was fun and reasonable.
We were able to get a package deal for the boat ride, musuem fort and miniature golf for a large group but i am not sure if they still offer that - its always worth checking though.
