I took my five year-old to For Eyes for a school eye exam. He was seen by male doctor who prescribed glasses ""for schoolwork only"". I paid my $15 co-pay and $184.05 for the glasses.Kindergarten teacher expressed concern about his work. She said his work seemed worse When he was wearing them as compared to when he completed his work without them. \r

I made an appointment with a recommended optometrist. My son was thoroughly examined by this new doctor and her findings stated that he definitely did not need the Prescribed glasses. She found that he does have an eye muscle condition commonly found in young children; however, the prescribed glasses were completely\r
Opposite to what would have helped him. In fact, the prescribed glasses were actually contributing to the problem.\r

Following this new exam, we expressing our dissatisfaction to For Eyes and requested a\r
full refund for the unnecessary glasses. The guy on the phone said that since 90 days had passed there was really nothing they could do about it, it was more or less implied it was now our problem. \r
They claim to have spoken with Corporate offices and they refuse to refund our money. We were told ""the best they can do"" is offer us an in-store credit for the cost of the glasses. For obvious reasons we do not feel comfortable having any member our family examined by any staff member at For Eyes, nor are we interested in any further purchases from them.\r
It is very disturbing to discover the staff at this center prescribed an unnecessary, harmful prescription for our five year-old child. This fiasco has cost us money for a pair of useless glasses as well as $132 for another eye exam. It has caused our son trouble in school, we lost of time at work, and it has caused us to lose faith in staff at this For Eyes.
