Mostly excellent, occasionally average 8/26/2008

I've been bringing my (too many) cats into FAH since moving to Ahwatukee in 2006 and have been very happy with them. Sometimes the front desk doesn't communicate very well, but they've improved on that over the last few months. The vets provide great care and are mostly good listeners, and tend to be less dogmatic than other vets I've worked with. They've just added a 4th vet who I haven't met, but if he's anything like the other 3 he'll be great. Best for regular care, less so for emergencies. more

Receptions do not relay all the information and Please Don't call if you feel it is an emergency 1/7/2006

Under normal circumstances they are Fantastic! However... If you feel it is an emergency.... Don't call if it 15 minutes before closing. Don't call if they are moving to a facility during normal business hours, even though they continue to answer the phones. Most of all Beware of the information the receptionist relays to the doctors! The Saturday receptionists are also unable to write. They could not leave a message for Dr. B to call me because he was at the new facility and unreachable for the next goodness knows how many hours and days. Dr. M was in the facility but refused to talk to me or see my pup because if she needed x rays or surgery they would not be able to do that today. But how would he even know that without seeing her is beyond me. Dr. L is a great vet, Dr. B is wonderful, puts his patients first, truly cares about them. Wouldn't take my worst enemy to Dr. M. more

Wow, that's when you know you're in Foothills huh 10/17/2005

I took my kitty here once because he was having seizures that were starting to get really severe. I'm always afraid that the people who work at animal hospitals might lose patience with my cat because he's so squirmy and loud whenever we take him anywhere, but the nurse was so nice and gentle with him! The doctor was so nice too and gave us lots of advice and how to keep my kitty healthy! =) The facility was also very nice, although more like a pediatric office than a "hospital" per se. There were several children's books on animals and even a few display shelves with pet care products. The overall environment was very welcoming. The only thing is that unlike humans, animals don't really get health insurance so we were stuck paying this huge bill for a simple check up. more

These Vets Adore Animals 7/27/2005

This is a team of three veterinarians who adore animals. You can see pictures of theirs in the lobby of the office and we're not just talking a couple of dogs. They've handled dogs and cats for me and did a great job with their care in all instances from simple shots to teeth pulling to surgery. I believe they are a little high for their services but not higher than the average for the area. People here are fanatical about their animals and the vets offer services that sometimes range on the extreme to cater to these people. more
