They were hired to install supply vents in the drop ceiling of the basement in Jan '07. Without my permission they installed them in the walls and an air return in the same closed off room as the furnace, which by doing so, can cause the fumes from the hot water heater and natural gas furnace to be pulled in the air return and distributed throughout the ductwork and into my home possibly causing carbon monoxide poisoning. When I called the owner that night to tell him how unhappy I was, I was yelled at and treated very poorly.\r

The original work was supposed to cost $400, but by the time we made it to court, they were claiming it was almost $800. I provided proof to the judge that according to the International Residential Building Code it is not safe to install an air return in a furnace room, but I still lost. Now, the owner is threatening to call me every day until I pay him. \r
