This rating is strictly to the owner which is Kevin Donofrio for his poor customer service and bad treatment that me and my wife receive from him on our second day of visit here is the story: 11/13/2011 This is a nice place to work out, however the owner or manager of this club (Kevin Donofrio) really has no ethics or not even the idea of what customer service means. Today is the second time I went to the Brandon Branch here in FL. My wife had to sing in as a guest I have a premier membership so I am allowed to bring a guest any time a go. So after being there for an hour or so One of the employees approached to us to ask us to leave the gym because we where wearing jeans and it damages the cushions of the machines (which I think is hard to believe) anyway he said also that it is a club rule not to ware jeans which I thought and I said to him that it was fine and that I did not know about this. But I was not going to leave the gym just because I am on jeans. So next time I said I will bring proper clothing. So his answer was that the owner was not going to let us stay, and so it was this moron actually go and asked me and my wife to leave the gym. I told him I have being here for 1 hour at least what difference it makes if I stayed for 1 more hr. well He said it was his rules and that we had to respect his rules, and if we did not want to leave he was going to cancel our membership. OK this is the top guy at Brandon Branch clearly the steroids are pulling his brain from logic or reasoning. And clearly has no respect for members that are having a good time at the gym but more we are the ones who put the bread on his table. Kevin Donofrio do not say we do not respect your rules when you are the one braking the most important which is professional ethics. Your are supposed to keep customers not getting rid of them!! Go to school or watch some videos in YouTube about customer service or learn a little from your employees that have better maners!! They have 1000% better customer service than you!!! and do not be so arrogant also. Attention Valdemar Von Heiligen more

steady decline 10/25/2010

I really liked the gym when I first joined (Brandon, FL location), but it seems the longer I have been there the less workout options they have available to reach a diverse population of people. For example, they used to have fitness classes such as step etc... They eliminated all the fitness classes to only offer XFC classes. Offering XFC classes is great, but was it really necessary to get rid of all other class options. I never once saw an XFC training/class being conducted. Then recently they added and improved some of the workout machines, which usually would be impressive, however they went too far. They no longer have the fitness class room, where people also enjoyed the space to stretch, do lunges, hit the punching bag, and do sit -ups/crunches. They tore down the wall of the room and are taking up all the space with more machines. Their is now very limited space to do any workouts that don't require use of the machines. I think that change is good when it improves the quality for the customer. This gym never stays the same. Some consistency is good with some changes over time, but it seems that the owner is never satisfied or something. Also the balls to do crunches on seem to always be dirty. They should have sanitary dispensers or wipes posted on the walls. Last but not least, they recently changed the direction of some of the cardio machines to face the mirrors instead of facing the TV's that were directly infront of the cardio machines. I either can look at myself in the mirror, or watch TV through the mirror and try to read the captions on the TV backwards. So many things at this gym are ass backwards. more

Dirty and Untrustworthy 7/21/2010

The club is dirty and smells dreadful in the back part of the gym. The language that's used by the customers is very offensive. I went there to work out not hear every curse word in the book. Also, we were told on the phone that we could pay our membership dues with cash before the due date and we wouldn’t incur any fees. We ended up paying in cash 2 days before the due date and were still charged $40 in fees. The manager there is very ill-mannered and was avoiding me when I went in there to discuss the charges. Do yourself a favor and don’t do business with a company that has such questionable practices. If I could do it all again I would join LA Fitness and forget about this disgusting smelling poor excuse for a gym they call Fitness for 10. Pros: Can't think of one. Cons: Dirty, smelly, untrustworthy more
