VERY POORLY MANAGED GYM: If you?re looking for a gym that?s dirty with worn out equipment and an unfriendly staff, this is the place for you! I?ve been a member here for a few years and the only reason I?ve stayed is because it?s about a half mile from my house and convenient after work. I can?t tell you how many times I?ve approached the front desk while the attendant was on the phone with her boyfriend or occupied with something else and said ?sorry, we don?t have any clean towels right now? or tried to find a paper towel or rag to wipe down equipment only to find they were all dirty while the employee sat behind the desk texting or playing on the internet. The trainers appear to be pretty nice, but I?m not sure why they even have hourly workers. They don?t do anything except sit there when they could be washing towels or cleaning equipment. I?m sure this attitude trickles down from the management who are pretty slimy when trying to negotiate membership plans. They are the equivalent of used car salesman and you have to negotiate to get a good price on a membership. Last time I was negotiating a renewal of my yearly membership (I pay in full to avoid the gimmicks) the associate acted as if he was giving it to me for free and pretended to call his supervisor to get approval. While he was doing that, I saw a log of the recent sign ups on his desk and they were all the same price or lower. If you get a membership and it?s convenient to your house, I would consider this place, but keep your expectations low.
